This USB drive is great. The form factor is the best around. It is so small that I barely realize I have it with me all the time. It is doesn't seem to transfer that fast but it is sufficient though. I am sure there are faster ones, but you cannot beat the size and storage for the price. It is also built by San Disk, the hands down leader in flash memory so I am pretty sure it will last. The retractor switch feels like you have to hold it down when inserting into a USB port but it actually locks very tight and you do not have to hold the button or anything. The button glows orange when plugged in and looks cool, not like that matters. Overall I am very happy with this product. I only wish now I would have purchased the 16gb.Customer Review: Great Secure USB Memory

I am an IT security professional and I really like the ease of use in the U3 security feature as it allows me to perform rapid backups (seconds vs minutes) because I don't need to encrypt everything first.
I also like not having to worry about losing a cap.
I deleted all the application - they are all either a pain to run (ads, email request, etc), unstable, hang the PC after the USB is removed, or cost money. I even tried a backup that mirrored my PC folder so well that it deleted all the U3 hiddenn system and program files off the USB!
This is my 3rd purchase of this product.
Highly recommend. The purchase price has also dropped significantly (after my purchase - ok course)

I ordered the SanDisk Cruzer Micro 8 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive SDCZ6-8192-A11. Under the Technical Details it was stated "U3 Smart Technology for running applications directly from the drive, without those applications." What I got instead was the Cruzer Micro SDCZ6-8192-E11 which does not have the U3 Smart Technology. Someone at Amazon was not "on the ball" the day my order was packed. Needless to say, I was not happy with the order. In all fairness, this was the first time that an error was made on one of my orders in all the many orders which I have received from Amazon. I have had good success with all the of SanDisk Cruzer flash drives which I have purchased and would definitely recommend this product.Customer Review: Great for photos and extremely large files

I am so glad I bought this. This 8 GB flash drive can hold huge files. I downloaded a 500 MB file from the office to bring home so I could do some paperwork at my dinning room table on my laptop. We're talking about a file that contains over 100 PDF copies of checks, 200 PDF copies of advertising contracts. The total file was just over 900 Megabytes. It took 5 minutes down download the huge file, but no problems occurred. I'm amazed at how much data this little contraption will hold. I would recommend this flash drive for the home if you want to save a lot of family photos or music that are on the home computer so that you can free up some disc space. It's an 8GB flash drive, and it performs just as you'd hope one should. My only complaint is that it's so small that it's very easy to lose, as I've done that about four times so far, but that's my fault, not SanDisk's. It works great right out of the box, stores 8GB like it's supposed to, and all that jazz. I got it cause it was the cheapest one I could find at the time and I'd seen so many people walking around with these and borrowed quite a few that I figured it'd be a good product. I wasn't wrong.
Okay actually there's one annoying thing: it seems impossible to get rid of the included U3 software even with reformatting the drive, which is a bit annoying, but overall doesn't affect much.
