I travel 3-5 days per week in my job and end up using many different computers. That's why I love U3. I use Firefox to keep all of my bookmarks and plug-ins available on any computer. I use Thunderbird to manage my personal e-mail. I use Zinio Reader to store and read the several digital magazines to which I subscribe to avoid paper. I can do all of this from any computer with USB anywhere I go without having any effect on that computer. This is great given my company's incredibly rigid IT policy (absolutely no personal software on company machines, including laptops).
U3 can be a bit slow, but not frustratingly so. You can set your computer to not run U3 on connecting.
The drive has great capacity in a small and durable package. I recommend it to any traveler.

4GB of memory is great. The U3 software is actually really cool and even if you don't like it you shouldn't have a problem removing it, provided you're not stupid enough to forget to check the manufacturer's website. Just to clear things up, U3 is not installed on your hard drive. I repeat: U3 IS NOT INSTALLED ON YOUR HARD DRIVE. Stop complaining about the flash drive installing software on your computer without permission. The program runs off the flash drive so you will not be able to remove it in the "Add/Remove Programs" tool of your PC. Go to U3.com if you want to have it removed. To wrap things up, this flash drive is cool, cheap, and is useful if you want to carry Firefox or other useful programs around without leaving a trace on the computer you're working from.Customer Review: Don't be like Mike... it works fine

I feel I have to write a quick review to balance that posted by an obviously upset patron ("Mike") who posted a review even though he didn't buy this particular model (he purchased the 512mb). Look, the bottom line is this thing works as advertised (it does say "WITH U3") and it works just fine. No problems to report after a month of us on my part. 4 gbs is a lot of photos and video to haul around and you can. And it is a Sandisk, best selling maker of flash memory products (haven't had one fail yet regardless of the type... CF, SD, the Cruzers, etc.). So, in the end... Don't be like Mike. Know what you're buying first and if you get this one, know that it'll work just fine.Customer Review: Very satisfied!

I got it on a sale for $29.99, in July, 2007, on a different website. I love the capacity (4GB)and U3 compatibility. I use it to sync and backup my important data, outlook files, and also PIM data through CruzerSync on U3. Of course, I also have music, photos, and videos.
I also found out that it is readyboost compatible. i.e., it can be used to extend Vista's memory, even though it is not officially listed as readyboost-compatible. I found this website that says they successfully tested it.

I wanted to give it 4 stars, because it is not as rugged as Titanium, but that's an unfair comparison.

This is a great product for a very cheap price, more than worth the money. Price in store for similar items cost twice as much. It comes with some software which you must install the first time, but you can change that option afterwards. Some of its capabilities are pretty useful, such as the ability to install programs directly to it so you can use it on other computers. Unless you want 8 GB, this is the flash drive for you!
