What is there to say about this type of device.
It works. I don't know how to rate performance.
It plugs into a USB port and is recognized immediately.
I can save to it, I can cut and paste files from and to it just like I would with any other drive.
I'll probably never fill it up, since the one I had previously was a four gig, and never had more than two gigs on it, that I can recall.
I'm thinking about buying another one and putting my entire music library on it, since I have a Ford with a USB port, and accidentally discovered that just by plugging in the USB drive to do a software update, it started playing every sound file on the drive.
Maybe I can use it to have my entire library at my fingertips.

I am one of the few people that likes and uses U3 so I love this drive. The cost is low and 16GB is more than enough. I bought this to replace a 4GB model that I haven't even filled up. I love the sliding USB port that goes up into the drive when not in use. Also, the large orange lite is easy to see and tell when there is activity, unlike some drives that have a lite that too tiny and can hardly be seen. The U3 software and partition can be removed if that is not your thing, and SanDisk provides a program to re-install U3 if you decide you want the functionality back. The drive is quick to write to and read from. It works in Windows and Linux. I'm not sure if it works in Mac OS X. My old 4GB Cruzer Micro did not.Customer Review: Great and Quick storage

Don't have the cash to shell out for an external hard drive but you do have the cash for a quick and speedy service that will allow you to store valuable data? Look no further, I just purchased this product and I stored some important documents and videos within.
Plenty of space for documents/videos/music and I plan on doubling up because I have a rather big music folder. This thing works flawless for me, all you have to do is select "no" for the U3 software and the prompt will go away to install additional programs. It's no headache at all and if you want an easy way to store a small amount of data, this is the key.
Take it from me, money is valuable and money would be well spent on this baby.

Seriously that's what it is and what it does. I still think the pricing on these are a bit high but hey that's what I said about my LCD TV 2 yrs ago and I still bought it. It's a Sandisk. It blinks a lot. It's quality. It's still blinking a lot. Really I bought this to use on my dvd player, but the damn thing is freaking bright so I had to get rough and put some electrical tape on it, it hasn't blinked at me not once since then. :-)
I wish I could have gotten it on sale for less, but that's like getting the hottest girl in school and getting mad because she wanted to spend time with you.. Some people are just never satisfied.
If you need reliable storage just get it.

The Flash Drive wouldn't install on my Sony VAIO PCV-RX891. First the light would come on then just turn off...Well it installed without a hitch on my laptop which is running Vista Home Premium. I hit the google button and scanned all info on XP Home being that there was lots of stuff on XP and that's what I'm running on the Sony VAIO Desktop...Good New...It was the enclosure design around the USB ports on the front of the unit that was the problem... A quick little shave job with my handy Dremel to remove the plastic that was preventing the drive from seating fully and it worked like a charm...Love the drive. (PS) try the drive in all the USB ports before you freak out like I almost did :-)
