It arrived promptly. I put it in my camera and it worked, indicating that it was pre-formatted. I used it on a camera that was new to me so I have no way of comparing performance to the II model but I trust the manufacturer`s claim that it is faster. I can Cut&Paste files from it to my hard-disk when in my card-reader. With my previous card I could delete files only in-camera so after I transferred the contents I re-formatted it in the camera. Not too bad but eventually it gets to be a pain... There is no reason that I would not buy another item the same as this again.Customer Review: FAST and reliable!

You get what you pay applies when it comes to secure digital SanDisk memory cards. You can pay less, but if your using the card for photography you could loose a shot if you're using a standard(speed) sd card with a high(10 megapixel)digital camera. As with any Extreme III SD card you are paying a premium above most other cards of the same size on the market. That said, if your SD card using device (in my case a digital camera) can take advantage of fast cards then you will appreciate the decrease in time needed to store photos and also download them to a host PC. This SD card has functioned extremely well in conjunction with my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX33K 8.1MP Digital Camera with 3.6x Wide Angle MEGA Optical Image Stabilized Zoom (Black). I travel around in very cold and very hot places and I want a card that is rugged while providing very high speeds so that I can be comfortable with short-duration video shots and burst shooting from the tundra to the tropics.
