Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SanDisk 2 GB SDSDX3-2048-901 Extreme III SD Memory Card (Retail Package)

Customer Review: SanDisk Extreme III SD
Summary: 5 Stars

I have been a cusomer of SanDisk memory cards for 10+ years starting with CF cards from introduction up to the last generation Extreme II CF cards. Bought both Extreme III SD cards to go with my Nikon d40x 10 mp dslr. Extreme III is rated by SanDisk to perform roughly twice as fast as Extreme II and they deliver! I've rotated my two cards in the month of near every other day shooting and have had excellent performance. In-camera processing is less than a second or two and passes unnoticed by me even when shooting wildlife in bursts of five or more 10 megapixel images (haven't gone beyond that as yet). The other end of digital work is when transferring images to your computer (I have an iMac). The speed of operation is elegant and efficient. Haven't had trouble with a SanDisk product in a decade and continue to be pleased with their products.

Customer Review: Amazing speed!
Summary: 5 Stars

Got this for my 10 megapixel Canon G7. The difference from a regular SD card was much more than I'd hoped. 20 MB/sec. min. read-write speed is amazing. This card's speed allows the G7 to unleash its Digic III processor, and will snap off continuous shots(finest setting,no flash or cont. AF) until the memory is full with absolutely no lag...approx. 3-4 shots/sec. Regular card stopped to write after 6 shots. Play back time is now almost instant and shutter lag has all but disappeared. If you've been considering a G7, it is a better camera than most reviews say it is, despite its limitations (no RAW, etc.) I suspect some of the reviews would have been much better if they had used a card as fast as the Sandisk Extreme III. As a bonus, you get a licenced disk of RescuePRO in the box to retrieve erased data from media. Worth the extra money.

Customer Review: SanDisk Extreme III & RescuePro Software
Summary: 5 Stars

This is the second 2gb ExtremeIII card I own. I use this card in my Pentax K10D. Bottom line, it has a much quicker write & read rate then the SanDisk Ultra SD card. When I shoot a quick series of photographs I noticed how much more quickly the Pentax can write to the Extreme III 2gb writes compared to the Ultra 2gb card. I was so impressed that I purchased this card, my second, and have plans to purchase at least two more.

In addition, this card comes with a photograph recovery program called RescuePro. If you have ever deleted photographs from your card by accident like one of my friends, you will be glad you have this software. I used it on her card and recover about 290 photographs out of 300. That is a petty good percentage considering she thought that they were all gone for good.

Customer Review: Better camera performance! It's why you need this card
Summary: 5 Stars

Why would you want to buy this card when you can get one with the same capacity for less than half the price? It's all about performance. When you take a digital photo do you find yourself figeting impatiently while you wait for your camera to get ready for the next shot? You may not have realized it, but your camera can capture high megapixel photos much more quickly with a high-performance card like this one. But the effect is even more dramatic when capturing video on your digital camera. Most cameras will automatically end a video shot when the memory card fails to keep up with the data produced by the camera. The camera buffer fills up and your shot is over. With this card, you may find that the size of scenes you capture is only limited by the capacity of the card itself.

Customer Review: Very Compatible
Summary: 5 Stars

I was hesitant to buy this after my camera manufacturer told me it was not compatible with my camera. I own a Konica Minolta Z2 (now owned by Sony, who told me it was not compatible) and I tried it as soon as I received it. It is very compatible with my Z2 and it stores thousands of photos even with my camera on fine mode. I would recommend this to anyone. I have an infant and you sometimes have to take pictures fast to capture that moment and this card lets me do it every time! I would purchase this again and will most definitely recommend it to my family and friends. It reads just as fast too! I loaded it into my computer and ZAP, all my pictures were there quickly and smoothly. Thank You SanDisk for a great card and Thank You Amazon for the fast delivery!
