Customer Review: Once Skeptical... I LOVE it!

I run a craft business where I make hats, jewlery etc. I specialize in mini top hats. When I had the chance to be an exhibitor at a major convention, I began looking for ways to photograph my products for my website. I came to amazon and started looking at the reviews for different portable studios. I will say i was very afraid that I would be getting some piece of junk. Horror stories almost prevented me from buying any of them. In the end, I decided I would get the cheapest one, then I wouldn't be so upset if the bad reviews happened to be true.
WOW! I just got my portable studio in the mail. First of all, it all folds up into the size of a Trapper Keeper just about! I looked and it is true there are no formal instructions on how to set it up. However, I didn't have a problem. Two of the sides are sewn together, therefore, the third side is the only one that needs to be attached, and there are velcro straps already on it. That part was easy. I guess the "figuring which side to lay it on" was what got everyone confused. idk if the way i did it is right.. but its working for me. I basically put the "flat" black side on bottom, with the three white diffuser sides making a "corner" Then i removed the backdrop and attached the velcro strip to the velcro strip of the "cover" or the black side that has the pockets for the lights and basically draped it down. This is working perfectly for me. It takes up about 3/4 of the top of my standard sized coffee table.
I've just started taking pics and I have to say I'm loving the quality. I'm even just using my iphone. The lights do get warm, but I expected that from the start, that's the nature of photo lights. Bottom line, I absolutely love this. idk what other people who had bad experiences were trying to do, or were expecting, but I think this is amazing... ESPECIALLY for under $30.
