Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Saitek X52 Pro Flight System Controller

Customer Review: X52PRO "Look No Further"
Summary: 5 Stars

I have been into flight sim since flight sim didn't exist. I remember moving black and white pixels around a monochrome screen and thinking that they looked just like an airplane cause it moved in the air and didn't lay on the ground. Today Saitek produces what the market will support. The greatest number of buyers will spend a couple hundred bucks on something that looks good, works right and has some length of durability. TheX52 Pro is too complex for its needs. All that is required is that the damn digital video aircraft reacts smoothly to the users control. The input of a device to cause the main stick to provide resistance as you move closer to the edge is to emulate what? This is a video game controller not friggin life support equipment. The MFD (multi-function-display) is as worthless as tits on a boar hog. I am in a group of simmers who virtually all have a x52 or x52pro and not a single dude (and one female) uses the MFD...but it does look nice. Having said all that you now can buy a thing called "force sensing technology". Good god wait till you feel this dude. The stick doesn't move at all...it senses the pressure of your hand and moves the aircraft consistent with the software designed to make it happen. The split throttles are great...one for each engine. Bet somebody stayed up nights thinking about the wisdom of that move. Regardless I have used every controller on the market including the Thrustmaster Cougar, CH combat stick and etc. The X52Pro is the best of the best...I have not had one issue. Some users indicate that overtime the main stick will not center after each use and you have to sort of shake it to get it back to top dead center. That seems like a problem for a new day. But if you like you can chuck out about $378 for a new metal X65f and concern yourself with viruses and about three days worth of setup. U can get a new X52Pro for $136 on Amazon most of the time. Wait till after Xmas and maybe the price will drop a little more. I own three and the X52 is top of the ladder. Its easy to setup and durable for years of enjoyment. Look around...you'll
