I was skeptical at first whether to spend the money or just a cheaper joystick and I can say now it was definitely worth it!!! The controls are nice and smooth and light up nicely.
The hand adjustment is great allowing the perfect size for any hand. Many options with how to set up each button, a little overwhelming at first, but nothing you can't figure out on your own (instructions are included).
Overall, great buy and well worth the money. Goes well with Falcon 4.0 Allied Force and Flight Simulator X (free demo came with mine).

This joystick is very, very fun! It has a great design. It is also very easy to use. The throttle is fun and easy to use. Just grab it and push foward. The joystick is also programable.
It has three modes. Buy this joystick if you want a joystick that is fun and easy to use. Soon, when you are used to the joystick you will forget that the game you are playing is a game. Since I was using it for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, I had to create a profile for the device. One did not exist on the Saitek web site. I did not take very long to figure it out with minimal reference to the manual. There is a little tweaking on the part of the mapping of buttons, but I have no complaints. The features are awesome. If anything to complain about, it would be the amount of tension to use the rudder (twist) capabilities of the joystick for prolonged periods of time.Customer Review: Practice makes perfect

I purchased this FCS (Flight Control System) along with MS Flight Simulator 2004. An excellent combination for a home flight simulator. I practiced on a Cessena 172 and flew one today for the first time. My instructor was impressed and said I was very advanced for a first timer. Thank you Saitek X52. What an awesome FCS!
By the way, MS Flight Simulator 2004 is great, you don't need to get the more expensive "updated" one, the physics behind this version are very realistic.

I purchased Saitek X52 Flight control system for my son as his birthday gift. Installation was very easy and it was ready to play within minutes. Configuration was also easy which was downloaded from the saitek website.
Right from Day 1 my son is enjoying his Flight Simulator X with this control system. This control is far better than earlier joystick from Logitech.
I recommend this control system for every one who has flight simulator or similar game
