i recently bought th saitek X52 flight control system and
found it to be easy to configure to any game online and offline. and with the smart technoligy program disc the options are almost endless over 300 programable functions
are able to be used by the sticks. it has a very comfortable ergonomic design and adjustable button lighting. sensitivity settings are great and easy to use.
calibration settings are easy to use too. the 3D twist rudder is very smooth and has a locking button rudder is not needed or when you use the saitek rudder pedals that
are optional extras if you truly want a realistic experience as a pilot i stronglly recomend getting the
saitek rudder pedal system too its definitly worth the
investment as i am picking up a set of them after trying them and talking to a lot of other people who use them.
i have used a lot of flight control systems and sticks over the years and the Saitek X52 Flight Control System
wins hands down. any serious gamer needs this stick system then he will have total control when he plays,
it is a "must have" 5 STARS

i purchased this product about 3 months ago and each time i use it, i like it more and more.At first though i thought it was awkward to use. But now i forget how good it is.
the more you use it the more the detents become weaker and weaker. But you dont really need them.
this system is very easy to program (once you figure it out).i would highly recommend looking at the manual that comes on the disk that comes with it.
The only problem with it is that you never need to take your hands off of it!!:) You have a little mouse thing on the throttle control and 19+ buttons! it can be confusing to which does what but you learn.
The minor issue is that the joystick is weak leaving your hand tired. But i just wrapped and taped some kleenix on it then it works great. But eventually it can leave your right arm tired, but then i just raise the office chair and then the problem is solved
if your thinking of buying this for any reason then go for it. it is highly worth the money. This is more for a fighter game but it also works great with FSX!

I bought the Saitek X52 controller for my husband for his birthday. I had given him the Microsoft Flight Simulator X for Christmas and he had been using the mouse to control the aircraft since that time. He had always commented on how difficult it was to control the aircraft with the mouse and was interested in getting a flight controller but the price at Best Buy was prohibitive (around $129). When I spotted the price here - around $98- I decided to get the controller. Since getting and using the controllers, he has commented numerous times about the ease of use and the ability to control aircraft within the software simpler and wondered why we didn't get this sooner. It has been difficult to get him away from the computer now and he spends a lot of spare time "flying"!! Oh what have I done! I am very happy with the quality and the controls on the unit. Took a little time to figure out that we had to configure the Flight Simulator software to use a controller instead of the mouse. Only operator error, no problem with the controllers.Customer Review: A lot of fun, so far!

I bought the X52 set along with Saitek's rudder pedals. The rudder pedals are useless, as well as Saitek's support, but the X52 set is great! Having separated throttle control from the "stick" makes it feel much more realistic than having to keep both hands on the joystick to control everything. The throttle(s) in most combat aircraft are on the left side of the cockpit, not on the control stick, so the X52 allows you to position them that way. Button positions and the shapes of the stick and throttle grip feel very comfortable and naturally placed, even in the heat of near-sonic combat over Iraq. The blue backlighting around the buttons is cool, too! I just hope they hold together for a long time, because Saitek's support of their products is weak. See my review of their pedals for details about that. I also own a set of CH Product's rudder pedals. Combine the X52 hand controls with CH Product's Pro Rudder Pedals and you have a winning combination! So far, I can't fault the X52, so I gave it five stars.Customer Review: Realy very Good Flight Control System

These are not only words - This is Really very Good Flight Control System as shown on the website compaired to any one.. Saitek make realy very good game controls always.
As I am a pilot of jet fighter trainer airplane. It Has A JoyStick control system like Fighter jet F-16,18,22 OR MIG-21 Have.
So i always fly simulated before my real flight to practice maneuvers, Take off/Landings etc..!! for that reasion i need the extreamly high quality flight control systems for my flight simulator. SO I CHOSE THIS SAITEK X52. Three Things i liked Most in it which is Multi functional Display with Soft Controls, Programm ablity and Quality.
It is Truly Proffessional... it helps me a lot.
BUT FOR ME: The only thing is Not Satisfying me is that, Flying as a Captain.. throttle must be at starboard(right) position and joystick control must be at Port(left) Position.
But Still it is Exellent for begginers or first officers.
