Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Saitek ST90 JoystickCustomer Review: Good for playing flightsim not for quake Summary: 4 Stars
This is a good joystick for playing flightsim. Pitch and roll are as expected. Yaw is painful. So can't control helicopters or play quake. It can be a little tight in the beginning but smooths out after a few days of use.
Customer Review: Joystick review Summary: 3 Stars
The Saitek ST90 is a fair joystick. I am using it with Battlefield 1942 and the Galactic COnquest mod, some vehicles have a more difficult time with it than others, the inability to adjust sensitivity of the joystick does not reflect on the joystick but rather the game. The stick has difficulty with helicopters, I have noticed. The price cannot be beat though, it is probably the cheapest stick available, and it's a WinXP native, no software needed and no gripes from the OS, just plug and play.
Pros:
Price ($12.00 -$22.00)
looks
stability
USB
Windows XP compatible
Cons:
helicopters
Customer Review: Not too good. Summary: 3 Stars
I couldnt invert the axis with this joystick... it had no program that will let me and the game wont let me even if i click the invert axis box. It is ugly, the package is horrible, design is poor. The buttons are pretty good though and it feels OK.
Customer Review: Not very stable Summary: 3 Stars
This product might be good for the flight simulation enthusiast, but it does not work well with my FPS games.
Customer Review: cheap stick, doesn't last too long Summary: 2 Stars
I've had this stick for maybe four years now. It can only work for the simplest games. For the few bucks not bad. If you want to do flight sims or the type of complicated games like WWiiOnline .. don't use this stick. I clamp my down to the table so it has some support. Otherwise you get a sore hand from having to hold it down.
Not a well designed stick. Spend a few more bucks on something in the $40-50 range. You'd end up paying more if you get this one.
