Customer Review: UPDATE! THE W,A,S,D KEYS RUB OFF
Summary: 5 Stars

Had this keyboard for a few months and was loving it for the 1st month. Its SOLID, keys are quiet yet firm. By the second month I started to notice the S key was showing wear, by the third month the S was rubbed off, and the A key began to show wear... Here I am 4+ months later looking for another keyboard because the W in now rubbed off, and D is next (W,A,S,D).
I had a cheap $19 M$ keyboard thats been going strong for 3years and even though you can see the WASD wear the letters are not faded in the least. A keyboard manufacturer clearly marketing to gamers, should anticipate someone was going to game with it. I find it inexcusable that the paint rubs off the most popular keys in the gaming industry, and you should to.

SAITEK, being a stand up company did send me replacement WASD keys however I'm not sure if this is gong to be a Yearly thing with them.

Customer Review: Very solidly-built
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this keyboard for the LED backlit keys, which are extremely useful in the dim room where I work. When I ordered it, I didn't have high hopes for the build quality, and figured it would be just average. I'm glad to say I was wrong. This is the most solidly-built keyboard I've used in a very long time. The unit itself is nice and heavy, and doesn't slide around like my other keyboards. The keys have a solid, but quiet/muffled feel, with good travel. Much better than the Dell and Microsoft keyboards I'm used to.

Of course, the key layout is nice and standard, with the backslash, insert, delete, home, end, pgup, and pgdn keys in the right spots. Also, the letters are not cheaply printed onto the keys, so there shouldn't be problems with letters wearing off. This is a programmer's/typist's keyboard!

Great job, Saitek!

Customer Review: I love the Eclipse II
Summary: 5 Stars

I own the G-11 and the Firefly Borealis. The G-11 was huge, but I like the custom keys on the left side. The G-11 was not very bright in a dark room (IMO). I also have the Firefly keyboard on another PC, it is thin and low (no clips in the back to adjust the height) and the typing is smooth like a laptop. The Firefly has only 1 color (blue) but it is very bright (much brighter than the G-11) and the lights have an auto shutoff feature after 5 mins. of no activity.

I love the Saitek Eclipse II because the colors are definitely brighter than the G-11, the brightness is adjustable, the sides light up, and the Eclipse II has 3 colors to chose from vs. 1 color (blue) for the G-11 and Firefly. I love how the Eclpise II has 2 height adjustments! If it had the auto shutoff feature it would be perfect but still deserves 5 stars!

Customer Review: I must say....im impressed
Summary: 5 Stars

I must say, i am in fact impressed with this keyboard. It is your standard keyboard, but not...all at the same time. Why do i say this? Standard keyboard yes, all your f 1-12 keys and ur normal keyboard and ur shift and alts and contol key etc etc etc....how then is it not standard??? THE COMFORTABILITY!!!! I have had this keyboard for a few months now, and it is FANTASTIC!!!! Typing is so much easier...and everything you type feels so much more comfortable. I want to type more and more and more just because it is so comfortable to type on. Habds down, best typing keyboard i have ever owned. And i love the 3 different backlight features...blue..red..and purple. My favorite is red. If you are looking for an affordable keyboard, thats super comfortable, and has lit keys so you can see at night, then this is perect for you.

Customer Review: Best keyboard ever used
Summary: 5 Stars

Been using this thing for over 6 months now, love it. Was skeptical about paying that much for a keyboard, but have no regrets about it.
People complain about the brightness of the LEDs, could be brighter, but works well enough and much better than no LEDs at all. The brightness knob is useless and should have been a volume knob. This thing is heavy, with good rubber feet, does not move around, even under heaviest gaming actions. Three colors of LEDs to choose from, purple works best for me in the dark hours when playing WOW. Buttons have good solid feel to them, not too noisy when typing at full speed. The media buttons work well for controlling sound, would've preferred volume knob instead of volume buttons.
Overall this is a great keyboard and would recommend it to anyone looking for a solid keyboard for gaming or working.
