Perfect for the gamer in you! At midnight, turn out the lights and start up Quake 4... the red-illuminated keys are easy to see but not too bright. No more hitting the wrong key in the middle of a firefight just because you can't see it.
But, this is also a great keyboard for typing. As a software developer, I find that these keys are spaced apart just perfectly, and they are neither too soft nor too hard to press. I can type faster and more accurately on this than any other keyboard I've tried (although I've never tried an ergonomic keyboard). This keyboard feels quite durable too. I expect it to last a good long time.

This is my second Saitek keyboard; my first was the blue LED type which I loved. I really like the feel of the keys and the construction of the keyboard. The new color is great, it goes very well with my XPS gaming computer that has red LED's on the front and backside of the computer.
I use it for gaming and its great in low light conditions, and more importantly the price is way under the retail price in stores. The only negative thing that I have to say is that my other keyboard only lasted two years. This was due to heavy game playing, so I am willing to accept that it only lasted for that amount of time.

It is what I had expected, nice, heavy, quiet, inexpensive and durable keyboard. The light is nice, even for someone who can type without looking at the keyboard. It's got a wow effect, and has coolness about its being. Don't by it anywhere other than Amazon. I am an IT guy, I shopped around in places I knew to look. At the time Amazon was and is the cheapest. Run from CCity, they claimed this keyboard was on sale. FOR ONLY $60 DOLLARRRRRS.
Haven't tried the included wrist rest yet.
I would by another, if I needed one. :-)
I would like to see the blue lit.

I guess I'm reverting to a teenager; I'm 65 but the backlight and see through keys are excellent for 1st person shooters in the dark (heightens the suspense and shock value). I also bought it because the red lights agree with my white/red computer room. As for the product, I've never had a more comfortable keyboard and would definetly recommend it to other touch-typers. Response is excellent, esp. for gaming. At the moment I don't have any complaints. I notice that some others have had trouble with its longevity, and if this fails to last, I'll re-do this review.Customer Review: Great keyboard

I think this is best back lit keyboard for the price. It glows really bright when it's dark and is still very noticeable in a well lit room. I get compliments from everyone who uses it. I have had it for 7 months and haven't had any problems with the paint coming off yet and I don't think I will have any. I would agree that the keyboard doesn't tilt up that much at least compared to normal keyboards but for me it's perfect when the flaps are folded out. The wrist guard works very well too. I have never used one before but I think it has actually improved my typing.
