This joystick works great with MS Flight Simulator 2004 and Windows XP. I haven't been able to figure out how to program the mode switch, but everything else is easily programmable through the MS Flt Sim program. (And the mode switch really isn't necessary). Saitek provides a CD for those who want to program it better, and someone a little more techie than me could program it any way he wanted. The stick works smoothly, the plane stays flying in the direction it should, and the buttons/switches are all very handy. I haven't had the joystick long enough to tell how well it holds up, but after a month or so I can truthfully say I'm very impressed--and delighted.Customer Review: Beat-up 5 stars Saitek PS 33 box

i bought the Saitek ps33 joystick for my son's gift and also for the use of his iL2 Sturmovik 1946 dvd game. Fast UPS ground delivery-thanks, but i was very dissapointed when i received the box, the Box was deformed, badly beat-up. The joystick Saitek ps33 in the box was still very lucky, not damaged still intack & works so very good, no problem at all so far & very smooth flying & landings etcetera, i can still give 5 stars for the Saitek ps33, but minus (-5) stars for the Saitek ps33 beat-up box.

After having a bad experience with the Logitech Extreme Pro 3D joystick (see my review) I purchased this one and WOW what a difference. Worked perfectly right out of the box and some of the switches are already set up for flaps etc. without loading the software ! YEAH, its a decent enough joystick. it has good control. not too loose. not too tight. Its a light-weight flight control with a hat-switch for scanning the skys! the switches are programmable!!! it works great, if you buy it out of the box with the software!!!! sure great joystick. I have the big yoke that clamps onto a table. this joystick is much better.Customer Review: Works great and durable!

I bought this joystick in 2007 while I was in the USA as an exchange student.
I play the FS2004 almost everyday and now it is 2011.
The joystick still works great!
the only bad thing about the joystick is that
the weight is a little too light.
