I have researched different systems for my security needs and the SVAT CVQ1000 is an excellent buy for the cost. Yes the IR is lacking, but with auxiliary IR lighting this short coming was corrected. The very small nature of the cameras at first made me wonder if this system would not be very clear, but I was quickly amazed at the clarity of the images. And with the size of the cameras, hiding them is a breeze. I have had the system hit with some heavy Texas down pours without a hitch. I do not mind only being able to record all cameras in the four split screen mode. My only complaint is the remote is like a child's clicker toy, a bit fragile. I did purchase one more system for a panoramic 360 degree overlapping view of my land around my home.Customer Review: I am whelmed.

It's a good buy for the money. Don't expect to be able to see clear faces in parking lots at fifty feet...think more of "over the garage door."
It doesn't handle additional light sources in "night" mode as well as I would like, but it get's the job done if I want to know who's knocking on my door, creeping down the side of my house, or which one of the neighbor's dogs are trying to tear into my trash cans again.
Time stamp, autocycle, and alert notification when connection is severed is a plus.

Very pleased with the system so far.Checking the "System Set Up ", it looks as if there's an option to set all four cameras to switch at what ever time interval you want.However, after setting the time intervals, I can not get the images to change so I can see each camera separately at the prefered time intervals.Or maybe this is not even an option. Can anybody tell me weather they have been able to have the cameras switch automaticaly?Customer Review: Very Good Product For the PRICE!

Very Good comparable to the more expensive systems in performance. The camera mounts are the only downfall they are a little aggrivating to get set at the position that you want them in, but once you do the camera's give a great picture. The night Vision is a little low and needs some extra light so i installed some motion sensor lights near the cameras and that solved the problem for night time.Customer Review: SVAT CVQ1000

I purchased the Security Camera System about a month ago and I am pleased with the quality for the price. They were easy to install.
I would have liked to have some 100-foot cables but could not
find out where to order them. Other than that I was able to use
the 60foot cables that came with the SVAT CVQ1000 system.
So far a good buy...
