The cable didn't advertise having a software disk with it. I got that software, I think, from the internet. So far I haven't been able to transfer the data from my old computer to my new one. I don't know if it's the cable or not. But it was cheap and if it is I'll just get another one.Customer Review: Not for Windows Data Transfer!

There was a well-ranked review that said this worked for data transfer. It does not! Google a little and every how-to for transferring files will say that a simple M-M USB cable is insufficient. You need something with a chip in the middle.
Probably fine for getting a USB hub connected or whatever.

I bought this USB cable to connect my digital frame to my computer and expected that I can move the photos from PC to digital frames. It didn't work. I guess that i need a drive or something. the cable itself can be plugged in very easy. And the price is worth to try.Customer Review: LONG BUT WORKS
