Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of StarTech.com 6-Feet Beige A to A USB 2.0 Cable - M/M (USBFAA_6)Customer Review: Quality and a Bargain Summary: 5 Stars
I just bought a laptop (Dell) and needed to connect it to my desktop. Other uses would include a camera, GPS unit, printer, etc. or anything that uses this kind of USB port. I can't believe how inexpensive this cable is! It's two male USB ends and six feet in length (plenty). It is only $1.40 (plus $2.98) for shipping. 'StarTech' makes every kind of cable or connection imaginable. This same cable is about $20 at my local Best Buy store. If you look around Amazon.com for these kinds of items, you can always find a really good deal. You will pay anywhere from $2.98 and upwards to over $10 in shipping, but the final cost is still a bargain. Besides, Amazon.com has a `no questions asked' return policy and they pay for return shipping!
Customer Review: 1/10th the price of Best Buy Summary: 5 Stars
You can't buy an A to A USB cable at any store in Charleston, SC. An A to B USB cable costs TEN TIMES AS MUCH as these really nicely made, very flexible cables I bought here.
Rate them at 10 stars on Price (5 stars) plus Quality (5 stars)
My old Archos Studio 20 MP3 player is reloading thousands of songs via the cable as I type.
Great seller, delivered exactly as advertised very quickly via USPS.
Thank you! You really deserve this rating.
Customer Review: Works as advertised. Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this cable to replace a cable to a portable hard drive. The hard drive had been cutting out and I thought the issue was the original cable. The hard drive is a flash drive about the size of a pocket calculator. The hard drive powered up immediately and automatically the window which asked how to access the hard drive appeared. So far the hard drive has not dropped connection with the host computer.
Customer Review: This Is What Cables Ought to Cost Summary: 5 Stars
In the words of respected A/V expert Don Lindich, expensive cables do not perform any better than modestly priced cables, so our primary concern in buying cables should be that they are not overpriced. Therefore, when I find a USB cable like the one I purchased from StarTech for 22 cents plus $2.98 shipping and handling, I am extremely satisfied. No need to spend $25 at Best Buy for a similar product.
Customer Review: saved me a bunch of money Summary: 5 Stars
I was able to put two yard-sale wireless tranceivers ($2.00 ea) into service by using these cables to replace the proprietary lost ones. All that I had to do was pop out plastic shrouds on the wireless cases, a five second job, and insert these male-male substitutes. At $40 each for new tranceivers of this type, I saved about $70 by being able to use the yard-sale units.
