I've typically not used SATA cables in the past, mostly owning the older parallel cable type, with jumpers to set and figure out. This was very straight forward, although you do have to look at the alignment at the end of the connector to plug it in correctly. Other than that, it went fine. I bought two of these along with 2x Samsung Internal Half Height DVD-W Supermulti SATA 22X Lightscribe. They are perfect in size to reach from any drive to the motherboard. Everything works fine and fast. The way it should be. If you buy a burner you'll need these since very few come with any cables at all.Customer Review: Great Value

I bought and received the 18" SATA cable from StarTec - what a great value! I used it to install a new LightScribe CD/DVD unit. This is a SATA cable. This may be hard to believe. It comes in a small poly bag. It fit into my hard drive and onto my motherboard. It functioned. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to connect their hard drive to their motherboard using SATA interface.Customer Review: Know your case!

The 90 degree bend in one end of this cable made connection so much easier. I put the bend end on the hard drive, which allowed the cable to drop straight down. Right behind the drive, I have a huge CPU cooling fan. Super convenient connection for a tight space.
