Firewire 800 9-6 Adapter Rohs
Let me cut to the chase, this very affordable adapter works perfectly for my needs. The price is quite reasonable as compared to the same item made by other companies that are selling for 2-3 times as much.
Note: I bought it from Amazon reseller 'Mac-Pro Online' and paid $7.15 plus basic shipping and it arrived literally the next day which was quite a nice surprise. With regards to functionality, it fits perfectly into the new iMac FW800 port and lets one continue to use their current FW400 devices. It does not look like it would be a problem for those who need to remove and reinsert it on a daily basis, but I have not had much experience with that side as of yet.
I'd certainly recommend it and buy another myself if/when the time arises.
