we had a bunch of battries thrown in our junk drawer and we weeded out all the bad ones in just a few minutes. great for checking out tv remote control battries and smoke alarm battries.i use it more than i thiught i would and really like it

It is very simple with no spring action so you have to make the battery connections by holding the battery in place, but I have already paid for this device just in not tossing batteries that I thought were expired. I love this little gadget for what it does!Customer Review: Fantastic

I wish i had know about this little guy years ago, it would have saved me many frustrations knowing whether a AA or AAA have enough juice to power my devices.
If it is red, you just toss it away and replace with a new one.. No second guessing
