Most people I know have bateries all over the house. You never know which ones are good and which ones are depleted. This tester works great with most kind of batteries and will not only pay for itself in battery savings - you also reduce the number of bateries that end up in landfills.

This is an inexpensive way to test batteries, and I've been happy with it. Yes, it's plastic and simply made, but it does a good job of testing AAA to D cell batteries as well as the little button batteries. It's a welcome addition to the battery drawer in my kitchen. I was looking for something to help me figure out which batteries still have enough juice in them to power items small and large, and this seemed to fit the bill. Sometimes a battery might not have enough power to run a digital camera, but would still have enough juice to run my remote, for example. This works well, is easy, and fun. Sometimes I'm not sure if the problem is with the battery or the battery-operated device; this device solves that. Also, I tend to mix up the new and old. This battery tester was everything that I could hope for. Easy to use, not a a lot of "false positives" in terms of battery readings. You do have to pay close attention to how to test the actual batteries (because no instructions come with the tester) but the arrows and diagrams on the tester help guide the way.
