What I really like about this tester is that it tests batteries with a load. I only expected it to read voltage without a load, but it adds a 4 ohm resistor across the 1.5 volt red/black terminals and a 215 ohm resistor across the 9 volt terminals. This loading really helps to correctly asses if a battery is good or bad. It would have been nice if the red slider terminal had a light spring, but is pretty easy to use anyway - it is a real bargain at this price ($3.11).Customer Review: LV, NV

I ordered this battery tester and am very pleased with this product. It shows the charge left in a battery with it's meter so I am not guessing whether a battery is good or not. It arrived on time as promised. It is easy to use. I do not anticipate a reorder because this tester should last a long time. I think it will save money in the long run by allowing me to continue to use batteries for their full lifespan. I will not toss usable batteries again.Customer Review: Works great, and it's inexpensive. What more could you want?

I really like this battery tester. It's nothing fancy, but it tests every battery I have, AA, AAA, C, D, 9 volt, cell batteries, etc. Before I would always ask my husband, "Are these batteries good or bad?" He'd say "I don't know" so back in the drawer they would go. This is WELL worth the price to be able to clean out that battery drawer. Just remember to recycle your old batteries! I always find batteries just lying around, not knowing if these are still good working batteries or if they need to be recycled. This SE Battery Tester is a lifesaver. All you need to do is put the battery's one end on the tester (negative), and slide the red lever to touch the other end of the battery (positive). It lets you know how much battery life is left, without the guessing. It saves money for not having to recycle still working batteries.Customer Review: Useful product at reasonable price

Very handy. Works on all popular battery sizes. Great way to determine strength of batteries that have been lying around the house for a long time. I have also tested batteries that I use in devices that take multiple batteries and can quickly determine if one or all of them need to be replaced. There are similar products on the market that likely work as well. This was one of the least expensive, is easy to use, seems durable and does the job.
