Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of SE Battery Tester (AAA, AA, C, D, and 9 Volt)

Customer Review: Simple, inexpensive, easy to use...
Summary: 5 Stars

...and it arrived as scheduled. Just what I needed to check a drawer full of batteries and my rechargeables. I bought a multimeter tester a while back, which worked well and seemed fine. But it needs it's own 9V battery. I kept leaving it on and running down the battery while it sat in the drawer. It is also more complicated to use for just testing batteries -- I forget what setting to use; holding the tester tips on the ends of the batteries not as quick and easy as you would think. Anyway, happy with this battery tester so far (2 weeks).

Customer Review: Does exactly what you want a battery tester to do!
Summary: 5 Stars

This inexpensive device ships FREE! It does exactly what you want a battery tester to do - tell you if a battery is good or bad. No need to interpret a multimeter or fiddle with electrodes. The needle bounces to "good" or "replace." Easy. I don't know what these people need rubber bands for (other reviews). It takes one second to make contact with the battery and read the meter. There is no need to hold it in for more than a split second. You just push the slider to the battery with your thumb and your done. Easy, cheep, and accurate.

Customer Review: Well worth the money
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a good product. It's inexpensive, easy to use and appears to be fairly accurate. It's really handy to be able to quickly test the batteries in a device that's not working properly to see if the batteries are the problem or not. It can save you from throwing away good batteries because you're not sure if they're worn out. I made some quick comparisons against other battery testers and it seems to give a pretty accurate reading of the battery strength. The fact that the shipping is free is nice as well.

Customer Review: Great basic tester
Summary: 5 Stars

Bought this tester because we have a camera that seems to chew up batteries (Nikon P50). Also, have learned that rechargeable batteries discharge even on the shelf. We use the tester to check batteries before putting in the camera and after taking them out when the camera says it needs new batteries. From this practice we have learned where the critical points are on the scale and don't pay attention to the green and red areas. We dont' see a need for a more sophisticated tester.

Customer Review: Excellent price and quality

Pop a battery in and the needle moves to tell you how much charge is left.
You have to make sure the battery is the right way round, as indicated by a + or -
You also have to make sure the battery terminals are touching the testers terminals, else you will get a false negative
But thats not too hard to do.

The red slider can be moved up and down for different sized cells, but you have to keep the pressure on yourself as it does not lock into place.
