Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sanyo Eneloop AA NiMH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries - 8 PackCustomer Review: No one has an excuse not to use rechargeable batteries anymore!! Go green, Go Sanyo Eneloops! Summary: 5 Stars
these are amazing batteries. I've tried many in the past, and been disappointed just as many times. the old energizer's were terrible, and NEVER held a charge for more than a couple of days.
the new technology in the eneloops is fantastic. a friend who uses a power hungry gps turned me on to this brand, and i am just as impressed or even more so than he said i would be. i use them in everything, including a garmin gps that really eats batteries - these seem just as good as fresh duracells to me. and, from my short use history - now 3 months - i can only assume the reports that the long-term shelf life is excellent are accurate. every time i put a set in they show up as full on the battery meter.
i've never taken the time to fill out a review before - but this product was worth it! buy these and never regret it - tell your friends! they are as good in performance as a fresh duracell/energizer from my experience, and there is just no excuse anymore for killing the environment with disposable batteries anymore. go green, go eneloop. i replaced my entire battery quiver with these and i am so happy i did. maybe a little expensive initially, but WAY CHEAPER in the long run. buy these now, you'll never regret it. i love mine!!!
Customer Review: Best Rechargeables I have ever bought. Summary: 5 Stars
These batteries are fantastic! I used them for my photography, flashlights, wireless, mouse, solar yard lights, calculator, wireless recorder, microscope, metal detector, and head lamp. They last longer than any other rechargeable that I have ever bought, in durability and charge time.
I bought some new "Solar" rechargeable batteries back in April 2010 for some solar lights with batteries that stopped charging. When I installed those new "Solar" Rechargeable batteries, I also installed some eneloop batteries in some of the lamps. Which I had bought in February of 2010 and had already used extensively in my photography. It is March 2011 and the only batteries still working and holding a charge in my solar Lamps are the eneloop batteries.
Its been at least 6 months since I put the eneloop in my wireless mouse and it is still running strong with at least 4+ hours of computer work every day. So after all I use them for I will no ever use another battery if I can help it. I am about to purchase enough to install in the rest of my solar lamps. I highly recommend these for use in anything, from solar lamps to high demand photography flashes. been working great for me for years.
Customer Review: Used on a constant basis Summary: 5 Stars
We have purchased a large quantity of this item, and found the quality and consistency in terms of battery life to be outstanding. They need a heck of a beating to get worn out, and recharging -while it does take more than a few hours (usually we'll pop them in overnight and have them ready for use in the morning- is a snap. For instance, our digital camera would ordinarily drain two AA's after minimal usage; with these, we've increased usage time TENFOLD before the need to refresh the batteries presented itself.
Hence, our investment in batteries has dramatically been reduced, as we no longer need to purchase them anymore. Additional shells to convert them to "D" or "C" sizes may be prudent, and you should expect that if you're using the AA in a D shell, it will drain quicker. But again, the overall upfront expense easily pays for itself after a few recharges. We'd purchased these batteries in varying quantities over two years as needs changed (ex. - introduction of a new baby and multiple battery-operated toys); the ones bought two years ago still retain their charge as good as they did upon purchase. Keep them properly stored, and they'll work fine for you.
Customer Review: Good batteries Summary: 5 Stars
First of all, I'd like to say how pleasurable it is to shop online here at here at Amazon.com. The whole buying and shipping process is always a breeze and I hardly shop anywhere else online now.
I primarily use the AA batteries to power several LCD motion sensor lights used as auxiliary under cabinet kitchen lights. For this function they perform perfectly. I've been using them for this purpose for about a month now and still haven't had to recharge them, so I'd say they last a good while between charges.
I also have two of the batteries in my 8-year old Kodak digital camera and they work fine in there, as well. I don't use the camera that often anymore, but the AAs have been in there for several months, now, and the camera stills fires up when I turn it on. Response time between pictures is as fast at it ever was be it other rechargables, alkaline, or platinum AAs.
I am very satisfied with the performance of these batteries and will buy more, as needed. Recommended.

Customer Review: So much better than regular rechargeables Summary: 5 Stars
These 2100 mAh rechargeables are better than 2700 ones - Why - because the regular but higher capacity ones lose charge so quickly, within 10 days they have less charge left in them than the "eneloop" type.
I had some doubts how they would perform in the real world - in particular, their peak current capability (which will determine how well they actually work in a digital camera). Turns out - they do better than the regular ones. While my 1600 mAh panasonics gave approx 40 - 50 shots consistently, the same digital camera now gives me approx 100 shots with these eneloops. Suddenly my mom's camera which "ate up battery very quickly" - has become a "great camera" from the battery change. If she's happy, so am I. Incidentally - the amazon price is also very good - you can also try getting the ones with a charger - this eneloop charger charges batteries INDIVIDUALLY. This is critical - no matter which charger you buy - get ones that charge batteries individually and not in pairs. Also remember to always mark your batteries, so you don't mix up charged and discharged batteries when charging them. I've found this to be a common problem with many users.
