Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Sanyo Eneloop AA NiMH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries - 4 PackCustomer Review: If you're still doubting--get it Summary: 5 Stars
I got these batteries about two weeks ago and they have been wonderful. I did a charge-discharge-charge cycle, then proceeded to try them out (though for most people that part is not really necessary). I've had the same pair in my wii remote for well over a week now, and I still have a reported 4/4 bars. My old batteries would have died after two or so days if left on a full charge. The low self-discharge alone makes these batteries almost as good as alkaline for battery life (and you can actually recharge these!). These batteries will save you lots of money.
BOTTOM LINE: better performance than most regular rechargeables (except rayovac hybrids, duracell pre-charged, etc which are pretty similar to eneloops because they are also low self-discharge), cheaper than a 16-pack of most batteries, and will last you a ton longer. I wholeheartedly recommend these batteries to anyone.
Customer Review: Batteries stay charged while not in use Summary: 5 Stars
Despite having a lower amp-hour rating than some other "High Capacity" NiMh batteries, these batteries are the answer for use in digital cameras and electronic equipment because they simply last longer before dying and give you more shots per charge.
Everytime I went to use my digital point 'n shoot camera after a week or so of not being used, the normal NiMh batteries - and the spare set of normal AA size NiMh batteries were always dead as a doornail.
These Sanyos retain almost full charge for a year. Several months ago I put them into my Canon A650IS. These same batteries are still in and working. The previous set of high capacity batteries I bought that have a higher amp-hour rating were always dead after about 2 weeks without use. The Sanyos makes it seem as if you have a lithium power supply.
They are worth every penny of the extra cost!
Customer Review: Great batteries! Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased these batteries to use in my new Canon Powershot S5 IS digital camera. It sure is nice to purchase pre-charged batteries! I have been taking a lot of pictures and the batteries still are going strong! My friends are always putting new batteries in their cameras, while I am still taking pictures! I have been recommending them to everyone! I keep referring everyone to the Eneloop web site, so they can read about how they work and how long they last compared to regular batteries. I have also purchased some more of them for other digital products that we own. We are definitely very happy with them! I would recommend them for all of your electronic products! GE/SANYO eneloop 4 Pack AA NiMH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries. By the way, the charger is a nice addition to them, too!
Customer Review: Perfect for speedlight flashes Summary: 5 Stars
After trying Powerex 2700mah batteries and finding out that they need to be charged RIGHT before use to be at full capacity or sometimes even work at all in my Nikon SB-900 flashes, I decided to try these. They can be charged even a week beforehand and maintain their charge. As a wedding and portrait photographer, my need for batteries is sometimes a week or so apart and I hated having to wait until the day before a shoot to rush charge the Powerex batteries. These Eneloops I can charge right after an event or just throughout the week and they are ready to go for the weekend. Some people complain about the lower capacity but they usually last me an entire wedding day as I don't use my flashes at full power very often if at all. For now I am still using the Powerex batteries for my off camera flashes but when they start to lose their juice, I will definitely buy more Eneloops.
Customer Review: The best of both worlds Summary: 5 Stars
I continue to love these batteries. I bought the big kit a while back and am slowly replacing every battery I won with Eneloops. They work just as advertised. They arrive almost fully charged like an alkaline battery and can be immediately used right out of the package. They work hard (end of charge is gradual like an alkaline) and the charge lasts a very comfortable amount of time. Recharging is lightning quick compared to other rechargeables I've used in the past and when it's done it's like getting brand new, free alkaline batteries. But I cannot stress more the factor that sets Eneloops aside from other rechargeables; being able to charge all of these at once and leave them in the case until needed and still have a battery as reliable as an alkaline, ready for use, months later makes the future and continued purchase of these batteries a no-brainer for me.
