Customer Review: Rechargeable Batteries A Good Deal

We have had the product only one month but are very pleased. We have used 4 AA batteries with two D cell adapters to operate a radio with no loss of power or loss of reception. The batteries ran the radio for quite a while before they needed to be recharged. The recharging time was a few hours but this was not a problem as the pack comes with 8 AA batteries. The pack is a good price as I have seen kits that come with only the recharger and 2 AA batteries for the same price as the entire Sanyo Eneloop kit. The batteries did come charged and ready for use. Only time will tell whether the batteries can be recharged 1000 times but all prior testing says it is so, and even if the batteries recharge only 500 times, that is still better than throwing away that many batteries!Customer Review: Useful adapters

I'm glad I purchased these batteries and stopped the cycle of continuously buying batteries (that had to be properly disposed of) for remotes, flashes and toys. I also purchased the kit which contains adapters (to be used as C and D batteries) and a recharger. The batteries do take a while to charge, but they hold their charge for a long period. When used with my flash they also enable the flash to recharge quickly so I am able to take many pictures using the flash more quickly than I can with other batteries I have used.
I also have found that although I don't have to use the adapters often, it is convenient to have them so that I don't have to get a pack of C or D batteries for occasional use.

I bought this kit for my digital camera. The batteries work great and deliver a lot of power. It saves money in the long run by being able to recharge and reuse the batteries. The C a D spacers I do not use and when C or D size batteries are needed a AA battery can't deliver the power required by a C or D size battery, you need to use a C or D size batteries. Over all this is a great starters kit and the value is worth while.
You can use NiMH with any NiMH battery charger that is made for recharging NiMH batteries. I have another charger that can be used in a standard 12 volt car lighter socket. It is hooked up to a 12 volt 15 watt solar panel to charge with the sun.

Sanyo eneloop Power Pack & charger
These Batteries are super long life rechargeable batteries. You can charge them and forget them. They come pre charged out of the box and make a excellent emergency battery. But we use them in out LED candles and our computer keyboard and mouse. Also Cameras that have high current loads . You get lots more pics for your battery life with these eneloop batteries.
DepotEco.com seems to have the best price on these as of today.
If you care about the environment then buy these batteries. They will require you to throw away less batteries in your life time as you get 1000 or more charges out of these eneloop batteries from Sanyo.

We purhased the eneloop batteries over 6 months ago, and have had no complaints. Other NiCad Batteries we own are Duracell, Energizer, and the Harbor Freight Brand.
We mostly use the rechargable for the Wii remote. Out all brands we own, the eneloop seem to be the most reliable and hold a good charge. The charger is slow and to me is a plus. We have the duracell rapid charger, and one of those batteries stopped working and seems to weaken the life of the cell. The eneloop charger has shown consistent results.
I haven't used the C and D adapters yet but it is good to know they are there if we need them in a pinch.
