I was so happy to find this cable, as I purchased a new laptop and could not use my old printer.
This cable works great! I had a little trouble with the drivers installing on windows 7, but windows
update fixed that problem! I would recommend this to all those who want to keep their old printers!

When you plug into the USB port on your computer, windows makes the connection sound, but it won't automatically plug and play to load the appropriate driver. You basically have to do an "Add Printer" and know which USB port it is connected to.
But since you only have to do that once ... no biggie.

It took a while to get it working with my laptop with Vista and an HP Laserjet 6P (I don't know what I did wrong or right to make it finally start working), but it works great now. This printer USB Cable is perfect. I bought it to connect a printer to my son's laptop. All I had to do is plug it into the laptop's USB port and connect to the printer. The laptop recognized the printer right away - no driver loading necessary. He was able to print in a minute.
