Quality packaging for shipment and product design. Assembly instructions were generally OK. A suggestion to initially use the larger diameter USB cable would have been helpful. I had a laptop die on me, and I was easily able to pull the hard drive and put it in this enclosure to get back all of my files. Ideally, it could be tool-less, but it comes with the screwdriver you need and extra screws. Nice finish and appearance. Best cost/performance ratio out there.Customer Review: USB Enclosure Good Buy

This was exactly the right size for shirt pocket backup. Just add old 2.5 drive. Bus powered is great. Best way to make good use of those old notebook drives. Liked it so much bought 2 of these and 2 5.25 version.

The enclosure was as pictured, came with a carry jacket also. Used to salvage a drive from a dead HP laptop, no trouble getting access to the full 40G size. Have used it connected to a Dell tower and Dell laptop, worked fine with both.
