Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Razer Lycosa Programmable Backlit Gaming KeyboardCustomer Review: Love my new keyboard! Summary: 5 Stars
I spilled coffee on my Logitech G15 and it wouldn't work right after that. Got a basic keyboard and that was bad because my computer is in a dark corner and I missed the illuminated keys. I priced around for a nice gaming illuminated keyboard and found this one. It's spill proof so they say.... I'm not taking on chances to find out. The keys are flat, meaning more even with the edges of the keyboard and have a rubber feel. It takes a few days to get used to. It has USB and gaming headset plugs in the back for easy connection. And for gaming purposes, you can change the illumination from all keys to just the gaming basics of WASD. Very cool! I'd definitely buy another one. Much cheaper than the G15 and I don't miss the LCD screen, never used it much. Would rather have the headset connections.
Five stars from me!!
Customer Review: Amazing keyboard, less than amazing finish Summary: 5 Stars
I had originally bought the Razer Lycosa to improve my Gaming peripherals for FPS gaming. I was mainly interested in the exceptionally high polling rate, and also the fact of every key being customizable (such as the ability to disable or assign macros to any key, even the space bar or letter keys). As far as i am concerned the Lycosa delivered much more than it even made itself out to be. It is a truly amazing and epicly great keyboard for any hardcore gamer. The only downside i have found to this keyboard it the glossy finish surrounding the keyboard. The glossy finish used is easily dirtied, and once it is dirt can be easily seen. Also cleaning the finish on the keyboard is an extreme pain in itself. But besides the just that, i would whole-heartedly recommened this keyboard to any RPG or FPS gamer.
Customer Review: One of the best boards I've owned. Summary: 5 Stars
Easily one of the best boards in terms of function and usage.
1. Great rubberized feel on the keys.
2. Backlight is SUPER bright (although I wish it was in red)
3. Anti-ghosting ensures I'll never wind up hitting a wrong key when doing stuff in games.
4. USB+audio stuff on the back of the board makes me cleaner hookups.
5. Lightweight and friendly for hours on my wrists.
As a side note to detractors talking about "keys randomly not working" make sure you are not accidentally "disabling" the keys using a built-in macro, I had that problem until I disabled the setting in the keyboards control software. (and disabled my windows key)
Enjoy!
Customer Review: AMAZING!!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
This keyboard is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! I bought it for my boyfriend for Christmas and he loves it. I have used it as well and I want to get one for myself. Both of us are huge fans of the Razer peripherals. The only thing that is somewhat of a problem is getting used to the difference between regular keyboards and this one with the way the keys are. They are shorter and kinda closer together. Once we get used to it, it will be pretty awesome...it is just going from using regular keyboards to one that is...more advanced I would say. I would definately recommend this keyboard to anyone who appreciates awesome computer peripherals.
Customer Review: very nice keyboard for gamers Summary: 5 Stars
Very well built, nice key clicks, awesome key texture and tactile feel. wish the backlight was brighter, although even in near compelte darkness(only monitor glow) i can type competently in my MMO. I am a hardcore gamer and just upgraded over my gen 1 logitech g15. the lycosa is not as competant a gaming keyboard in that no hotkeys, and no lcd screen. through and through it is a very nice keyboard and only one keyboard has ever impressed me more although i cant emphasize how nice the keys feel and how attractive a keyboard it is. and that no keyboard brightness has satisfied me thus far. it only has one usb though
