Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Razer RZV-1000 USB Viper Optical Gaming MouseCustomer Review: Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Summary: 5 Stars
This model has been available since 2004, has been eclipsed by newer releases - and is still being sold.
It is a 1,000dpi mouse, slicker than greased lightning and a real asset to gamers and graphic designers who haven't abandoned mice altogether for tablets. The form factor is excellent, even for large hands. And it responds instantly and precisely to the slightest move.
Installation is as simple as it is with any mouse. Drivers are 32-bit only, but they politely inquire if you would like to run them in legacy mode on 64-bit Windows systems. The driver control panel offers a host of flexibility options to sculpt the Viper into precisely the tool you want it to be.
I love my Viper and, while not a gamer, I use it extensively with graphic and video software.
An excellent value and especially so when you find it on sale.

Description of Razer RZV-1000 USB Viper Optical Gaming MouseThe Razer Viper possesses the most advanced optical tracking system of any mouse to-date. This is a high-precision, extremely accurate input device that operates at anywhere between 25 to 150% more resolution than other optical mice. Razer mice have always been known for the ultimate in increased sensitivity. We believe that the Viper is the best mouse ever made for high sensitivity players. Roughly 70% of the avid gamers in the world play their favorite games at medium to high sensitivity settings, and this mouse was made for you. For those of you who play and compete at low sensitivity settings, we do not recommend the Viper mouse. If you are not certain what type of player you are, our definition of a lowsens player is one who plays at ultra-low settings and moves their mouse on their mat at around 50 inches per second. If you are one of those low sens players all is not lost ... Razer is hard at work, burning the midnight oil, developing a future model that will more than adequately support your style of play.
