Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Razer Lachesis 4000 dpi Laser Gaming Mouse (Banshee Blue)

Customer Review: Durable and sensitive
Summary: 5 Stars

This is the BEST mouse I've owned.
The programability is merely okay....doesn't work well with a lot of games, but who really needs a mouse that can perform 90 functions?
The sensitivity is awesome.
The smoothness of scrolling is amazing.
The CORD LENGTH is great...yes I just rated cord length.
Paired with the Mantis mousepad... beauty in motion.

The odd time my temper gets the best of me, I tend to slam my mouse. Usually really hard. Not once has it effected the performance or structure of the Lachesis. Thank god...it's pricey.

I've had NO jumping problems, just a little drifting when the bass is too high.

The perfect mouse for Team Fortress 2 (I've put over 600 hours into that game alone.)

Customer Review: Great mouse for game and normal use.
Summary: 5 Stars

I own a copperhead, and I believe this mouse is actually more natural for me than the Copperhead. Being a amphidestrious mouse, there are two buttons that will be harder to reach. For righty, it's the ride side buttons. However, this is not an issue for me and I don't think it will be fore most folks. I do love the dpi changing buttons located below the mouse wheel. On the Copperhead, I had to adjust dpi using the right side buttons, which is also very hard to reach.

The overall quality is better than Copperhead. I love the one piece design and the rubberized surface.

Unlike most reviewers, I don't have any driver issues even before updating the firmware. This is a mouse I can live with even if I don't play game.

Customer Review: Best mouse ever
Summary: 5 Stars

I am a pretty hardcore gamer specially when I was in the army and went through my share of mice. I think I was averaging a new mouse every 3 months until I got razer's death adder. I wanted something with a couple more buttons for hot keying so I bought razer's lachesis in december 2008 and have enjoyed it every since. The mouse tracks extremely nicely with barely ever suffering from jumping and usually if it occurs it means I hit the right side forward button to increase mouse sensitivity. I find the mouse very comfortable in my fingers and I suffer no pain from them after hours of game-play. I would recommend this mouse to anyone who demands a performance mouse with adjustable sensitivity and ergonomic design for hours of comfort.

Customer Review: Stunning!
Summary: 5 Stars

I never really thought the mouse made a difference--in fact I was quite satisfied with my Microsoft Trackball--until I got a Copperhead. This time around, without question I bought a Lachesis.
Good refinements in shape here: the head tapers perfectly to make accessing the side buttons easier while providing a good-sized spread for my largish hands to rest on the buttons. Sensitivity can be adjusted with dpi buttons in the middle, which make for a nice touch when you're on-the-fly switching from an FPS to an MMO, or just going from gun to scope to grappling hook, as I've recently done in Lost Planet. Razer mice are a bit pricey, but if you have the means, it's certainly worth the luxury. Go on--spoil yourself! :)

Customer Review: razer lachesis 4000 dpi
Summary: 5 Stars

This Razer Lachesis is a great mouse, which you can use anywhere on almost any surface (the laser doesn't work on glass obviously). The 4000 dpi are more than enough, personally too much for me but since you can reduce the dpi easily with the two buttons in the middle no problem at all. I liked the feeling of the mouse a lot and the cool design anyways. I personally think this is a great product and after I tested it out I bought a second one as a gift for my brother! Really nice mouse for gaming and high precision work, but if you don't do either you probably don't need this mouse. The driver with which you can program the mouse buttons seperatly works fine and is quite user friendly. Overall a great mouse!
