Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Razer Lachesis 4000 dpi Laser Gaming Mouse (Banshee Blue)Customer Review: Excellent Product Summary: 5 Stars
This is a fantastic piece of equipment that doesn't deserve the one star ratings that some people threw at it previously. It was incredibly simple to operate..I simply plugged it into my laptop and within seconds, I was utilizing it to play games. I never had to do an install or anything, it was that simple to use - no compatibility issues, no hardware issues, nothing went wrong.
The adjustability of it works very well. You simply press the top or bottom buttons on the middle of the mouse, behind the wheel, to either increase or decrease the dpi, quickly getting it to suit whatever need you have of it. I haven't messed with installing profiles yet, but can't wait to do that as well when I start switching it up a little bit between the games I've been playing.
Overall, this is the best, coolest looking mouse I've owned, and I've gone through 6 'gaming' mice over the past 2 years of varying grades and qualities. I recommend it for anyone that plays pretty much anything on a computer.
Customer Review: Fingertip control Summary: 5 Stars
Ultra precise, this mouse has a lite feel to it when using, but being a fingertip control mouse that is a good thing. I was used to an older MS intellimouse explorer which is a palm mouse, took a little adjusting, like using a wrist pad for support. But it glides so smoothly that just using your fingertips is easy and feels right.
Like how you can change the cursor's up and down speed separate from the sideways speed. Setup profiles for each game and the mouse will change to that profile when that game starts.
Has more buttons than I have fingers...6 extra, 2 on each side and 2 right behind the wheel.
Being able to change the speed of the cursor on the fly in game is a great feature...
For the price: The quality is fine, software has every adjustment known to man. Windows Vista Ultimate had no problems installing it. But for the price, I'd expect it to last 3-5 years...of daily use. So at this point after one month, I'd give it two thumbs up.
Customer Review: Best mouse I have owned so far Summary: 5 Stars
I have used many kind of gaming mice in the past including Logitech G5. But Lachesis has been the best so far. Light, fast and accurate. It fits nicely in my hands - which are not too fat nor too thin. The feel of holding this mouse is just perfect.
The bad thing is that I have to take the mouse out during the night because the light on the mouse is a bit too bright for me during the night.
Highly recommended for serious gamers.
This does not mean that the Lachesis is just for gamers, its for business people as well. I have done a lot of spreadsheets and power-points as well with this mouse - with as good ease as any of them.
I used this mouse with my MacBook pro as well. And as expected, it works very well with Macs. As a matter of fact, this one felt much better than the Apple's own Mighty mouse (both wireless and wired).
So highly recommended for Mac users too.
Customer Review: Perfect for a "touchy" gamer Summary: 5 Stars
Okay, 4000 dpi...need I say more. Im the type of gamer that has to have a ridiculously high sensitivity for fps games. Not only can you adjust the sensitivity, you can also adjust the refresh rate. Maxing both is a godsend. Being able to set 5 presets and change then relatively fast in game, unless your changing the RR, makes this the most versatile mouse I've used so far. If it was wireless, I would be happier because I had to make a velcro loop to suspend it under my desk to get rid of the drag a cord has.
The fell of the mouse fits me better because I'm a "claw" type of person. Ive used the G5 and G7, but they dont feel right after a while. With the Lachesis, i dont have to stop to crack my fingers every 20 mins or so. I like the blue glowing logo, but it would be nice if you could change the effect from pulse to solid. Combine this mouse with the Lycosa keyboard...can you say L33T.
Customer Review: Best mouse I have had the chance to use Summary: 5 Stars
I had a Logitech MX 510 that I hvae used for the past 5 years until I finally wore the buttons out. I bought a Razor keyboard with my Dell computer that I have been quite satisfied with so I thought I would give the Razor brand mice a try. I bought the Lachesis because of the large form factor, I have large hands and long fingers so "regular" size mice are a little small and hard for me to use. The Lachesis mouse buttons comforms to my fingers and the buttons are easy for me to press. If one this that is different from other mice I have used past or present is the response time, this mouse is quick and it is no wonder why Razor is one of the best when it comes to gaming peripherals. I would recommend this mouse to anyone that is looking for a good mouse that is made for gaming and is willing not to skimp on price.
