This mouse is hands down the best mouse available for the Mac platform.
I've searched high and low for a good mouse to use with the Mac OS for quite some time. I work from home and spend 10+ hours a day on the computer doing web work. I've gone through (2) Apple Mighty Mouse's (scroll wheel failed) and various other mice in the past year... not a single one of them "felt right". The DeathAdder both feels great in the hand and offers a wide variety of settings and custom configuration options. The build quality is superb and the mouse is holding up extremely well to my heavy daily use.
The Razer software has been working perfectly for me on OSX 10.5.8, having the ability to bind keys and macros to various buttons proved itself in the first hour of use. Multiple profiles (5 available) offer the ability to configure the mouse for a variety of different applications and uses.
I've used the mouse for design work, gaming and general web use and keep finding ways to make my workflow more efficient with the custom profiles.
I finally found the perfect mouse!

The first test of any product for the Mac is whether Apple carries the product on its website. The Razer DeathAdder is one of the few gaming mice on Apple's website. The next thing that I check are the Amazon reviews, which are generally very good for this mouse. Now that I have been using the mouse for a month, I can say more about it. I bought it for a FPS game, and it has improved my play. I went from the mighty mouse to this, so my frame of reference is low. For what it's worth, the DeathAdder is much better than the mighty mouse. I don't know how I lived without the ability to map macros to mouse buttons. Functionally, the mouse delivers all that it promises. The driver installs perfectly, works, and is easy to use. I am a permanent novice as far as gaming goes, but setting up and using this mouse was a breeze even for me. My only complaint is construction. The top is nice, but the high gloss plastic sides and bottom show all scratches. Excellent mouse overall - best one for the Mac as far as I could find. But I wish Amazon had the white ones.Customer Review: The only apple mouse you should own.

All I can say this is the best mouse for a mac I have ever used.
Setting simple key commands to macros to have it all done with the use of one click to give yourself a distinct advantage than a standard 2 button mouse, in gaming or for even standard stuff to ease your computing experience.
I did have a lil problem getting the key configurations to work at first but after downloading the driver update, it works perfectly. The max dpi is only 1800 wish is sort of a letdown but with this the best mouse you can use on a mac than all the others out there, then this reigns king. For people with intel mac's you could buy one for windows and configure it on windows. But with me that still has a ppc mac still, this is my best choice.

I bought this mouse about a week ago for my black macbook and I should say its marvelous. Starting from the packaging, the gold plated USB connector, the beautiful glowing logo, smooth yet precise scrolling and best of all the infrared sensor. Works great with leapord,XP and also with 64 bit Ubuntu Linux OS. Perfect hold for my hand, good grip and excellent button positions. It has good response along with great precision. Good for FPS games.
Coming to the cons: Cannot adjust weight(but the weight is perfect for me).
Finally, a great product. Competitively priced. Perfect companion for a macbook.
P.S:Need to have a nice mouse pad(not too smooth not too rough), to get the best out of this mouse.

I bought a Mac Mini and wanted a mouse that worked with my pc and mac together with a kvm switch. I found the perfect match with this Razer Death Adder Mac edition. I also have a Logitech illuminated keyboard and it also has white leds so both this mouse and the keyboard match perfectly. I got tired of the blue leds most keyboards have and the red is too much. I think the white is the perfect balance and looks very elegant. The software works perfect on my mac and is really necessary to make all the buttons do what I want. This mouse works perfectly with no software on the pc for my needs.
