Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Razer Tarantula Gaming KeyboardCustomer Review: Of questionable quality Summary: 3 Stars
I like the keyboard's idea - programmable keys. However, there is a fleeting problem of USB occasionally reporting that the keyboard cannot be detected. This comes and goes, sometimes rapidly and can be very annoying while "gaming' because it changes the window focus. Sometimes it goes for days with no problem and then fails. It has 2 USB connections provided by a separate USB cable, however the voltage drop on the cable renders the two ports unusable. The programmable keys do work well but the keyboard in its totality is a flawed product.
ADDENDUM: Time often heals. I used a different manufacturer's key board for 3 months and then reinstalled the tarantula. It has caused no problems now for about seven months. Go figure! Remote USB support still fails.
Customer Review: Worked OK initially, but broke down over time Summary: 3 Stars
I've had this keyboard for almost 2 years now and the keyboard bounce and a few keys that only actuate about half the time is driving me to toss it and buy another keyboard. The keyboard bounce started after about 9 months (keys typing twice for a single press). I keep the keyboard quite clean (I never eat around the keyboard) and I do use the keyboard for up to 10 hours each day, but for this price you would expect it to last longer than this. I won't buy another Razer brand keyboard, I can tell you that.

Customer Review: What, they dont make these anymore? Summary: 3 Stars
Great keyboard. im not an intense gamer, just wanted something nice.
love the way it feels, and the media keys work.
love the smaller keys like a laptop, but solid feeling unlike a laptop haha
very responsive, works with xp 32 and win7 64
hate the glow emblem. it flickers after firmware update. which was a pain.
wish the keys lit up
Customer Review: Warning about tags Summary: 3 Stars
This product is incorrectly tagged as wireless/cordless/bluetooth. It is, in fact, a wired keyboard. You can find that out by clicking the "see more technical details" link, but both the screenshots and tags would have you believe otherwise.
Customer Review: decent... Summary: 3 Stars
nice keyboard, keys feel and react good, great response time..
only the macro keys light up blue, and the media buttons aren't really positioned well
