Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Razer Lachesis 4000 dpi Laser Gaming Mous--Banshee Blue

Customer Review: Lachesis
Summary: 5 Stars

Great mouse.

this is the second time i have bought this mouse. very smooth and it has a great polling rate.

highly recommended for any fps player out there.

Customer Review: Terrible Product
Summary: 1 Stars

I can't believe companies put broken products like this on the market. This is by far the worst mouse I have ever owned. The mouse skips all over the screen. The cursor randomly gets hung up and won't move. The cursor moves by it self. The buttons double click randomly. You would think it can't get worse right? Razer released firmware and drivers to try and fix the mouse. This software is corrupting many peoples computers so they have to completely reinstall windows.

Save your money. Don't buy this piece of junk. Use a ball mouse before you buy this thing.

Customer Review: Only Skipped for 5 seconds - then I opened my eyes
Summary: 5 Stars

The mouse works excellent. It skipped at first, then I turned it over and saw the clear soft plastic protective cover that covers the bottom of the mouse and partially interupts the laser. I removed it and the silver sticker that goes around the lazer as well and it has performed flawlessly since. Excellent for games and I do CAD with it as well. So if you're skipping, try uncovering the lazer D.A.

Customer Review: Best mouse ever!
Summary: 5 Stars

Always impressed with Razor products. I had the copperhead but moved on up to this mouse. If you like high sensitivity (especially for gaming) there is no other mouse better. one iffy thing is the upper side button. It is a little hard to push but it might just need to be broken in.

Customer Review: Excellent mouse WITH FIRMWARE UPDATED
Summary: 5 Stars

This mouse rocks, as far as I'm concerned. Very customizable, super high DPI, very light (if you like that), and excellent tracking. I'm using the eXactMat, speed side.) I'll admit, it's VERY sensitive to fibers and hair, things like that, but as long as you keep your mouse surface fairly clean you will not experience any problems.

Razer has released a firmware patch in the last few months and you'll need to upgrade to that to resolve any tracking issues. When I first bought this mouse I will admit, I was disappointed, but with the new firmware it's perfect. There is also the issue of the sticker on the bottom around the laser--Razer recommends removing this sticker to prevent fibers and hair from getting stuck in this spot which will drive you crazy. The other problem I had was the mouse not registering when restarting my computer (had to unplug and plug back in) but that's been fixed in the firmware update also.

All in all it's great. I am not even kidding, once you get used to this mouse, FPS games are a whole new experience. For a fast game like Nexuiz, a high DPI mouse like this is a must. I debated between this and the G9, and I'm glad I chose this though I would have liked the G9 as much.
