Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Razer Copperhead Tempest Blue 2000 Dpi Mouse with built-in Memory

Customer Review: Nice to look at, but technical malfunctions and poor tech support mar the experience
Summary: 3 Stars

I have owned this mouse for less than a year, and I have already had occasion to contact tech support several times. The firmware update is ridiculously complicated, and if done incorrectly, may destroy the mouse. When Razer tech support gets around to responding to inquiries (days or weeks later) they recommend that you "try it on another computer." Now, I wish I had another computer lying around for use every time I have a hardware problem, but that's a bit unrealistic. Other than that, when the mouse is working, it is attractive, comfortable, and fast. I just wish it worked more often.

Customer Review: Very good mouse.
Summary: 5 Stars

When I first bought the Copperhead I had a lot of trouble with it not being recognized by my computer. Several Firmware revisions later and it suddenly stopped working with my Logitech G15's USB port. Through the entire fiasco Razer support was... well... not very supportive.

All that being said, there is a new Firmware in town! Firmware version 6.20 fixed all my problems with the mouse. Now the mouse is pretty much perfect. I'll give the mouse 5 stars with the new firmware.

Customer Review: Bad drivers
Summary: 2 Stars

To make a long story short: nice hardware on this mouse, but lousy drivers. I'm not sure what happened, but at one point I was left with semi-installed drivers that could not be uninstalled or reinstalled. Had to reinstall Windows to get rid of them. Bah.

Life is too short to wrestle with bad drivers.

Customer Review: it sucks
Summary: 1 Stars

i have bought several of these mice, and to be honest every time i am in the heat of battle it fails one way or another. it always becomes unusable and your settings will change mid game. try to ask for help and they ignore your requests. i have ended up throwing this product against the wall now it will be 6 times. to be fair i like certain things about this mouse and thats why i keep trying to give it another chance. but recently i asked them to help me with it changing settings mid game, and of course no response and when i was in a very important on line match it failed and became worthless.i checked the settings i made and they were all different then when i started the game, they had resset themselves to the maximum.

Customer Review: Flimsy? what are these people talking about!
Summary: 5 Stars

Must be the competition worried about this mouse taking all their buisness!

Whoever said this is flimsy, must have been mistaken. This mouse is very solid, it is incredibly sensitive, and comfortable! I am upgrading this from a diamond back, which is a much smaller thinner mouse, this is much more comfortable, with an arch for my hand to rest on. I am totally in love with this mouse, it makes me sooooooo happy.

Its beautiful, very sensitive, has lots of configurable buttons, and its got the backing of Razer, which is just a fantastic company to begin with.

If you have the cash to drop on it I highly recomend it.
