I'm always apprehensive about buying these battery lights because they never live up to my expectations. I have to say that these little lights work really well and I love the spots. The biggest challenge is getting the magnet lined up with the light. If they aren't lined up correctly, the light won't go off. Having to move the lights or magnets around more than a couple of times really takes a toll on the double-stick tape.
They aren't as bright as they look in the advertisements but they do the job. Overall a good product.

My wife wanted automatic cabinet lights for the undercounter cabinets in the kitchen. I went on the internet and googled Automatic Cabinet Lights. Voila! Amazon.com popped up at the head of the search. As ususal, they had a selection. I read the reviews on one set and they were not good so I selected this set. They are just what I wanted but with a few provisos. There are eight lights in the set. The first two didn't work at all. The third one worked but only if you hit it. Fortunately I only needed five and the last five worked as advertised. They were harder to install than I had anticipated but that is probably due to the configuration of our cabinets. I had to construct small, wooden blocks to attach to the inside of each cabinet door to hold the magnets that turn the light on and off when you open and close the door. The lights are not particularly bright but adequate to the task. Unfortunately the double coated sticky tape that holds them to the inside of the cabinet frame is not adequate to the task. A couple of them fell off within a few days. This is critical because once out of the magnetic field they come on and stay on until the batteries are dead. You wouldn't know they had fallen off until the next time you opened the cabinet. I am going to use some Velcro strip glue to the cabinet frame and the light (they have to be removeable to change the batteries). Overall the quality is not great but they are adequate to the task and cheap enough.Customer Review: Not totally worthless

While these lights were a miserable failure in their stated purpose (lighting up drawers) as they didn't stick properly and were difficult to place, they're not totally of no value. They each contain several lithium button batteries which are of a very common size and can be used in other battery-operated devices. I threw the lights away and kept the batteries.Customer Review: Great item for about 4 months

These were great for about 4 months. Then the adhesive fails and you find them fallen off with the batteries depleted. I had mine mounted upside down. Probably would work better on vertical sufaces. I plan to use a better adhesive. Magnets have to align and come fairly close to light. Otherwise great product.
