Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Power 2000 ACD-289 Lithium-Ion Battery 1500mAh for Canon LP-E5, LPE5 BatteryCustomer Review: Batter LP-E5 Summary: 3 Stars
Tip to anyone having ejecting issue. The is a sticker on the front of this battery that causing it to fit too snug. Remove the sticker and possible insert a small pocket knife to loosing the contacts and this battery will work great. I do not recall any mention of removing the sticker before use but maybe there was.
Customer Review: Seemed like a good battery but did not live long! Summary: 2 Stars
Nothing groundbreaking in this review ... just wanted to let people know I was happy with the battery for a few months. It seemed to last a long time while taking pictures or movies with my Canon T1i but after about 5 months of use, it now will not take or hold a charge. After about 10 minutes the charger reports a full charge but when used in the camera - it is flashing red with only 1 bar left. Charger is fine as I use it with other batteries. Perhaps for the ultra cheap price this is an OK battery but I paid $20 or so for the battery.
Customer Review: very bad experience Summary: 2 Stars
The first time I used the battery, it couldn't eject from the camera. It took me 30 minutes to take it out, almost damaged the cover of the battery compartment. Finally I used a piece of adhesive tape to stick one of its side(not the bottom) and pulled it out.
The problem is the contacts, they are too tight. I spend long time to widen the gaps of between the contacts so that the battery can ejects freely.
Except this, it seems work well.
Customer Review: Didn't get what I paid for Summary: 1 Stars
So I ordered the Power 2000 batteries for my canon rebel xsi. I DID NOT RECIEVE WHAT I PAID FOR!!! I got 1000mAh by flashpoint from Adorama. I called Adorama and told them about the problem, and they told me I got the exact same thing as what I ordered..WRONG!!! So I put in a claim w/ Amazon and Adorama. I have not ordered many things from Amazon, and was concerned that future orders would be similar with switching. Any way, to my surprise, Adorama refunded all my money and allowed me to keep the incorrect batteries. They got an A++ from me for that effort. However, it appears that what you pay for, may not be what you get. I have read since about other camera outfits lisiting one type battery and switching to another. So be careful who you buy from...
Customer Review: It really doesn't fit... Summary: 1 Stars
The battery sent by Adorama is the "Flashpoint" AD-LP-E5 Canon 7.4V 1200mAh
I can't test the amperage, but while it looks right, it doesn't actually fit the battery slot well. The battery won't eject from the camera, and it's very snug in the charger. It must be pried from the Canon XSI I own, at the risk of the little white retaining clasp.
I wouldn't buy it again.
