Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Power 2000 ACD-289 Lithium-Ion Battery 1500mAh for Canon LP-E5, LPE5 BatteryCustomer Review: Excellent product ... but Summary: 5 Stars
When I was unable to buy the LP-E5 battery for my Canon EOS XSi from the company I bought from for my XT, I searched and found Amazon had the battery. It came with the combination AC/DC charger. Actually, it was with TWO batteries. These are rated at 1500mAh. I have used them since August with very satisfactory results - charged them maybe twice while taking several thousand photos. It was a great deal at $35.85+$6.98 shipping.
My only complaint is that this particular combo is no longer on the Amazon site. The $12.99 battery is on Amazon, but one photo shows 1500mAh and the other shows 1100mAh, made by CTA. What has happened to the batteries?
Customer Review: Works great on Canon XSI (D450) Summary: 5 Stars
I don't know why a review here says that it does not eject from Canon XSI. It works great for me. And one charge lasts several hundreds of shots, just like the battery came with the camera. According to the numbers on the battery, this one is supposed to last longer, but I did not notice any difference. As it works as well as the Canon counterpart, and much cheaper (I paid over 20 bucks, and it is even cheaper today as I am writing this review), I am pretty happy with it.
Customer Review: Good so far Summary: 5 Stars
I had read a few fearful stories about similar batteries, however I received this one quite promptly and I have not been disappointed thus far. The battery slid in AND out of the battery compartment with no issues at all, exactly the same way the Canon one did/does. The lifespan of the battery is good, I haven't run any decent side by side tests to see the shot count from recharge to exhaustion, but it definitely holds its own quite well.
Customer Review: Great replacement Summary: 5 Stars
Ordered this battery as a backup for my Canon Rebel XSI. Item fits and works great, however the first couple times I used it, the contacts on the battery were a little tight, and the camera wouldn't release it. Just took a little jiggle and the battery would free itself. Not sure if this is what other reviewers ment when they said the battery didn't fit, but after a few uses the batter slides in and out perfectly.
Customer Review: Cheaper cost than Canon and performs well Summary: 5 Stars
So far, I find that this battery performs as good as the Canon at 1/3 the price. I needed a backup and am giving it a good workout as I am using it as the primary battery in my Rebel XSI for now. Any problems and I will come back and make a report.
