The sound quality is pretty good for such a small speaker. You are not going to get a great deep sound like from a stereo system, but it does the trick if you don't have anything else to hook your ipod up to.
My only gripe is that when you zip up the speaker case with your device inside it is pretty fat. I wanted something to put in my pocket, but its just a bit too big for that.
