I bought these speakers about 2 years ago and never wrote a review.
They are excellent. Anyone that says they don't have enough bass is mistaken. If you have the power in your receiver you get all you need. I don't even use my subwoofer for music. Not needed. The grille I had no problem getting off with a heavy paper clip. They are tight but you don't want them falling off with the vibration they create.
I have a 801 Onkyo to power them and I'm supper satisfied with my sounds and so are all my guests.
Buy the speakers and you will not regret it.

Purchased these as surround/side speakers. The toughest part was running my speaker wire through walls, ceiling, etc. Once that was done, installing the speakers themselves was easy and rewarding. Fantastic sound! These speakers look clean, sound crisp, so much so they out-performed my front speakers and I now use them for my music too--as surround sound speakers they don't get much better-- they convinced me to change out my old front speakers with some new polk 300 floor standing speakers---very happy with purchase. Great product and price. Highly recommended.Customer Review: Easy to install and great sound.

I installed these in the ceiling as my rear surround speakers. Speakers were easy to install. I had no problem removing the grill as others have mentioned. Following the instructions, I inserted a paperclip and used a slight prying action around the perimeter of the grill near the edge. These speakers are a very nice complement to my existing front, center and sub. I called Polk to for technical assistance before buying as these speakers are 8 ohm and my front and center speakers are 6 ohm. Polk Audio RC80i 2-Way In-Ceiling Speakers (Pair, White)
I replaced my BOZE 141 rear speakers with these in ceiling speakers and am quite pleased with the results. I had not used Polk Audio before and was concerned that they would not preform as good as the BOZE. The BOZE were not bad but only had an 80 watt handling range where the Polk have a 120 watt range. Now the sound from the rear speakers is a lot richer than before. I am well pleased.

I've installed four pair of polk RC series speakers and just wanted to expand on the comments about installation difficulty. Removing the grills with a paper clip as the directions suggest can be futile. I found an ice pick and a flat screwdriver used as a pry device to work very well. Be sure to insert the pick into a hole in the side of the grill. After I cut the first hole in the drywall I learned to favor the outside edge of the template and all the others went fine. I'm very happy with this product.
