Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Polk Audio Atrium 45 All-Weather Speakers (Pair, White)Customer Review: Great value for smaller spaces! Summary: 5 Stars
These speakers are a great value for outdoor speakers to be used in a relatively small space.
I have an acre lot with a large backyard that includes both a patio and a screened in porch. I purchased larger Klipsch speakers for the patio and general backyard space and the Polk Audio Atrium 45 All Weather speakers for the screened-in porch. These Polk speakers produce great sound in a smaller speaker and are just right for the screened in porch which is a much smaller space then the patio and general backyard.
If you need to fill a larger outdoor space, I would recommend another set of speakers such as those in the Klipsch AW series.

Customer Review: Well built and easy to install Summary: 5 Stars
I bought these Polks to extend my audio outside while entertaining. They supplement 3 pairs of RC60is that I have in my kitchen/bar/dining room. I'm using a Monster ss-4 speaker selector to connect all four pairs. The Atriums were easy to install with solid mounts, although I would have liked the mounts to rotate on more than one axis so I could "toe-in" the speakers and angle them down. If mounted vertically you can toe-in, if mounted horizontally you can angle down, but you can't do both. My main gripe is they don't seem as loud as the indoor speakers so I can't just set a comfortable volume for all four pair simultaneously. To be fair my outdoor space is noisy so I might be cranking them up to compensate. I plan to add a volume control to attenuate the indoor speakers to solve that problem.
Customer Review: Never Disappointed With Polk Summary: 5 Stars
I own many Polk speakers including models dating back to the mid 80's (10's, 5's, and 4.6 series just to name a few). These Atrium 45's are my newest addition. Because of our current budget, I seriously considered spending less and therefore looked at some of the other models in the top ten sellers list. But, I am very devoted to Polk. Why? Because they sound great. If you are debating whether or not to spend the extra cash for these (like I was), I promise you will not be sorry with the sound quality and the overall quality of this speaker system. I am very happy that I purchased these speakers. One more note worthy of mention: the bass output from these tiny speakers is very impressive.
Customer Review: great speakers Summary: 5 Stars
K so I haven't had them installed that long, however, for the bit of time that I have had them installed they have worked great. As the summer wears on I will see how they last. As for sound they are extremely clear, and can be turned up loud enough for the neighbors to have a legitimate complaint.
Installation: They are extremely easy to install. I modified the the installation slightly though. Instead of using the screw slots I placed a large lag bolt through the speaker wire hole so I can rotate the speakers left or right. Eventually when I am satisfied with their positions I will probably set 2 screws to help stablize the bracket as they were designed.
Customer Review: POLK ATRIUM 45 Summary: 5 Stars
These speakers are exactly what we needed to replace some older main front speakers for our "home theater". We already had a newer powered sub-woofer for the deep lows. In addition to the audio paramters, we wanted these speakers to be a white color to blend in with the wall paint. We have been very pleased with their performance and appearance. To obtain the positioning we desired, I had to re-form the wall brackets so that the speaker would be aimed down towards our seating position (previous location was above ear level). This was relatively easy to do with a vice and a hammer. Aiming left and right is a built in feature of the mount.
