Customer Review: EASY AND WOKS WELL BUT SLOW

Haven't done too much with this scanner yet, but my dad and I pulled it out of the box and had it scanning sides in less than 15 minutes. Documentation for mac is a little confusing, wasn't sure that it would work for the mac at first since the was no driver software for the mac, but there was driver software for pc platform. Scan resolution is amazing and the color controls seem quite generous. Machine is slow at high resolutions.Customer Review: Superb for the price

As with any scanner, you have to do some post-scan adjustment in Photoshop. If you're not prepared to do that, don't bother to buy this or any film scanner, but pay a professional to scan and manipulate your slides and negatives.
The software is excellent but not the easiest to use. If you can deal with the learning curve, you'll be pleased with the results from this reasonably priced scanner.

Had tried other scanners and the quality and the ease was not anywhere near this one. Had no problems with software. not much for instructions, but easy to navigate around and figure out how to do different things.
The only downfall is the limit of 4 slides at a time in the holder. But a reasonable trade-off for the other ease and quality of the scan.
Would recommend ordering additional slide holders

The product is good for quick scanning slides. I have already scanned over 1000.
Support was pretty quick when I had an issue.
The silver fast prorgram is very confusing and I will stick with Photoshop Elements for editting

Does an excellent job. I had to disable my camera on the computer to get it working however. On the other hand I was guided very carefully and tactfully by a telephone service person who responded promptly (next day) to my e-mail for help.
