After researching scanners for slides and film, I decided on the OpticFilm 7200. I saw very few negative reviews and for good reason. This scanner has done everything I wanted, which was to scan in to digital format 45 year old family slides that were soon headed for the trash bin. (We are such a throw-away society!) I would recommend this scanner to anyone for almost any slide scanning job you have.Customer Review: This thing works

Load the software and away you go. I scanned over 300 slides with the Plustek Opticfilm 7200 in a little over four hours. Once I got the hang of it and the correct scanning program it went a whole lot faster. I would recommend this scanner to anyone that has slides to digitize. While not for the professional it's great for the small volume person.Customer Review: Does exactly what it is supposed to do.

This product does what it was intended to do. I have a multitude of 35mm slides ranging from 30 to 50 years old that I just retrieved from the attic. I am well into the collection now as I digitize and preserve these irreplaceable images. This scanner is reasonably priced and I an thankfull that I found it.

I bought this to scan a bit over a thousand negatives. There's a short learning curve. Once you figure out the "tweaks" to make the scans come out their best you will have great scans!
Its fairly quick on scans and I was done with my negatives in a bit over a week. I saved a ton of money with this machine.

Easy set up, push button use. I couldn't ask for it to be any better. I've done quite a few slides and the only problems with the scans were because of the slides (off color, scratches, etc.). I have not had a chance to try scanning negatives, but the process should be just as simple.
I highly recommend this product.
