Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Plustek OpticFilm 7200 7200DPI Film ScannerCustomer Review: Plustek 7200 Great Value Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this slide scanner because of the good reviews and high praise for the SilverFast software that comes with it and I was not disappointed. This small machine provides great reproduction from slides and the editing ability of SilverFast has helped me clean up damage on 40 year old slides. I found both the scanner and the software to be easy to use. Slides load securely into the 4-slide carriage. Everything is well made, even comes with a case which holds all components of the set.
Customer Review: Just getting started Summary: 5 Stars
I have not had time to move past the basics, and there is a lot left to explore, but for my purposes it is perfect. I have a number of 35mm slides from the pre-digital days and this will allow me to make usable copies of selected slides to bring the kids pictures when they were young and the older family vacations into a viewable (convenient) format. Having done several slides from a vacation and been very happy with the result, I'm looking forward to slowing reviewing our memories.
Customer Review: Plustek Optifilm 7200 35mm Film Scanner Summary: 5 Stars
I needed a simple scanner for my old 35mm slides that was easy to use at a reasonable cost. I finally found this one and am very happy with it. So far, I have scanned about 600 slides and still going. Mostly, the program is automatic but allows me to do easy color and contrast adjustments. Easy is important to me as a beginner and I get nice quality, with a wide range of dpi-resolution settings. It also works well with my Vista software. A good choice for me and a good buy.
Customer Review: Worth every penny Summary: 5 Stars
This is a really great product. I have thousands of slides from the "old days" of film and don't want to lose the images. I got very tired scanning them with my flat bed scanner.....1 at a time, cropping etc.
This thing is neat. load 4 slides in the tray and scan them very effortlessly. I throw the slides away after they are scanned & when they are all scanned I will sell this thing on EBAY. What a wonderfull country this is!!!
Customer Review: Excellent, More than I Expected Summary: 5 Stars
Beautiful pictures & colours, even with QuickScan. SilverFast definitely needs computer savvy, so if you are computer shy stick to QuickScan - like its name, it is quick (and trivial). SilverFast on the other hand has great Global Colour Correction and Scratch Removal features. I use 3600 dpi for best results. The resultant file is indeed large; but who cares, in this day & age of limitless space hard disks and DVDs...
