I no longer have to crawl under the desk and hurt my back, just to switch plugs. I love this product and use it several times a day. It's been a blessing.

I do a lot of sound editing, for which I use a headset. After I finish, I want to listen to the result from the speakers. The Plantronics switch is very good for the task.
Another application is for Skype users. It is advisable to use a headset to avoid feedback from the speakers, but in case you are away from the computer and somebody is calling, you want to have the speakers on.
The only minus that I see, it is rather difficult to keep it in one place. It is light, and if I move while using the headset, it tends to follow.

Its amazing that there are really no peripherals which compete with this one - it is indispensible. Most of the time I use speakers, but if I need to make a Skype call or play a multiplayer game I use the headset - this makes switching between the two a non-issue.
This is my second one, the first one lasted for years but I yanked on the cords too many times and it eventually failed.

I have found that any time I plug my headset directly to my computer I get 100 percent loss-less sound. When I use my headset through the Plantronics switch I hear a faint buzzing or interference for my sound, for me as a gamer I find the loss in sound quality unacceptable...so I have resigned to leave this product disconnected from my computer.
