Customer Review: Reliable, rugged and good quality sound

I have owned this headset for over a year. My son and I are really tough on headsets. I just now picked up my headset from the floor from under a pile of magazines and other equipment set aside none too gently in a recent effort to "clean up" my office. I have gone through a lot of headsets and have been disappointed every time, especially by the endurance of the set. This unit is pretty rugged. The sound is not audiophile quality, and the mike sometimes (rarely) has problems with ambient noise, but it is well suited for gaming and online conversation in general.Customer Review: Great sound

While they might not be the most comfortable headset in the world, they do deliver superior sound and crystal clear voice. People I chat with say they sound great. The volume/mute control is in a convenient location. The lower half of the microphone is bendable which is a very useful feature that a lot of other headsets seem to be leaving out. The cord is long enough to allow a good range of motion without yanking them off your head.
They certainly aren't as comfortable as my earbuds. It would be nice if the ear pads rotated more (they only rotate about .25") or were softer to achieve a better fit. Then again, could just be that I have sensitive ears.
All in all, they are a solid product for a reasonable price. Another winner from Plantronics.

I found these to be very uncomfortable. Maybe I have big ears and don't know it, but the cans did not fit over them and I had to return them. Very surprised, I love my plantronics headset for my cell phone.Customer Review: Very Good Headset

I use this headset primarily to transcribe notes from meetings I have recorded with Microsoft OneNote. The voices are sometimes difficult to hear but sound much better on these headphones (that cover most of one's ear) than other ones I have used (Plantronics and Logitech).
I also sometimes use Dragon Naturally Speaking 9.0. When testing the accuracy on this software (voice to noise ratio) this headset comes out lower (17) than some of my other headsets but it passes more consistantly and is good enough for my uses.
It's also more durable than the lightweight Plantronics I used.

I bought this headset to replace my old one. I have tried the USB port headset for alot more money and didn't get the effect I wanted. When I saw this one, it was just like my old one so I thought I'd give it a try. I can't say enough about the performance. The sound is great, and I can put the headset down and go in another room and still hear on my speakers. The metal plugs are color coded, so it's not hard to find out where to plug them in next to the sound card. The ear phones are comfortable and the whole set is light weight for maximum comfort.
