I recently bought a set of sennheiser's with a mic and started using them.
At first it was great, my voice was clear and it was a big improvement over having an USB mic laying around to talk, but after 1-2 hours it would seriously hurt my ear due to the small shape.
This could not go on so I choose this headset.
To start with I did not like this headset so much, when you first put the phones on your head it's as though they put your head in a vacuum.
They are very tight fitting. One benefit to this though, is that you get much better bass response (much more so than with any other set of headphones I own).
After a couple of hours of wearing the phones, the discomfort seems to subside and you don't really notice you're wearing the headphones. I have worn them for over 4 hours at a time.
The mic is great, I'm clear, and it seems to give me a nice rich sound.
Before I end this review I should talk about the quality of the components.
This set of headphones is first rate in every aspect, from construction to design. The cord is very high quality (no way you can accidentally break it or anything (less you "accidentally" cut it with scissors), the pad at the top is nice, and the phones are quite comfortable.
One thing (a warning) to keep in mind is, when you're using this headphones, make sure you keep the volume low on the volume mic, otherwise you will experience buzzing when listening to music or any kind of sound that has a lot of bass, turning the volume down on the headset, while turning it up on your device, makes the buzzing go away and you just get that rich sound.
Bottom line, for less than 100 dollars, these can't be beat (Amazon prices, not retail prices). I have tried several pairs from different companies, most all of them cost more than this pair, yet this pair out performs them.
The only complaint I have against this phones is the compression effect you get when you put them on your head, but after a while you do get used to it and no longer notice it.
If you're wanting a set of headphones that have a built in mic, you can't do much better than this. Added bonus is, you can hide the mic in the phones so they are not clashing around (which is a nice feature) you can also extend the boom.
