I was concerned as any buyer to the claims about comfort and performance. Except for just having bought it, and not being able to vouch for the claim of another reveiwer that this product will likely run out in a year, it fully meets and to my surprise, I would say, exceeds the claims I read from other reviews here on Amazon. I would easily say this is the best you could buy for comfort and price without forgetting the quality one would hope for in a simple headset. I haven't yet tried the mic for online chatting yet, but I doubt there will be a problem. Simply put, if you can accept the testimony of a concerned buyer who HATES being scammed or tricked into buying something, I would say go for it. I've owned 3 sets of these over the past 6-7 years and I don't think I'll ever use another headset while these are in production. They're sturdy, have very good sound quality regardless of the price (crisp rather than blaring bass), and are extremely cheap compared to similar products. A word of warning: while they take liberal abuse--I rolled over the long cord and dropped them more times than I can count--I killed my first two pairs by trying to pack one into a suitcase and the second by accidentally vacuuming the cord.
If you wear glasses, you may have a bit of discomfort in the upper ear from prolonged use (2+ hours); it's the same type of discomfort you experience while wearing pilot headphones that clamp down on your ears (though these are obviously looser).

I purchased these specifically for playing MMO games online with my friends. So far they have "just worked" with both windows XP/Vista and my Mac OSX machines. The sound quality is decent for games and general voice communication. Sound effects are good and crisp, bass sounds bassy (but not incredibly so) and I've had them on my head for spans as long as four hours and didn't suffer any listening fatigue or discomfort. Light and soft without being flimsy. I even listen to music on occasion, but they aren't exactly a $400 pair of Sennheisers, but they don't claim to be either. The volume control/mute switch on the cable is nice and works well.
Everything just works, and is still working. I'd definitely buy another pair if these died at this point.

I bought this product mainly because it got great reviews and it was reasonably priced. I could not agree with the positive reviews more! The headset is really light, does not pinch my ears or squish my head(even when wearing glasses) and I have a big noggin! The earpieces are comfortable and have really good sound. The mic isn't as flexible as some, but I haven't had any trouble finding the right spot. I wear this headset for many hours at a time (WOW addict) and have not had any problems with it.
I have owned this headset for about 2 months now and am completely pleased with it. It seems pretty durable and the long cord is plus. A GREAT BUY for the price! A must have for any hard-core gamer!

This is the second set we own. First set had the wires sucked up by the vacuum and stopped working. They are comfortable with good sound, and we haven't had any other problems with them. We have a mac which requires USB, so we found a USB hub that converted it over to USB. After we got the second set, I took the first set apart and the wires broke free of the little circuit board in the volume control, so I soldered those back on and it's working again. We use them for an online class and a little gaming. I would buy these again, and I think they are the best headphones you can get for $20.
