I purchased this headset to use with Skype and used a previous Amazon review to make my purchasing decision. I have to say that I agree whole-heartedly that this headset is a great value. I've also used it to create some online video tutorials and the sound quality from the mic is excellent. And for Skype? My Mom always says I sound great!Customer Review: Good product

Good sound quality for Skype. But I echo what other people have said -- needlessly long cord, and it does not come with any instructions for use. I thought I needed a CD/software, but it turns out you don't. Just have to find your way in finally being able to use it -- just plug it in a USB port/hub and adjust Skype settings accordingly.Customer Review: Skype Device

Mr. Tech Guy, Leo LaPorte, recommended this device. I bought two of these, one for me and one for a gift. I use SKYPE for 95%of my in-home phone calls. This DSP-400 is a superb system..with in-line cord volumn control and mute button. Very sensitive microphone. One excellent feature is the long attached cord. I use this headset/microphone with a program called Dragon Naturally Speaking, to handle word processing and documents with just my voice. The set works very well and I have even seen an improvement in the programs ability to interpret my speech on a more accurate basis since I started using it....highly recommended.

The DSP-400 was an excellent purchase. The sound and microphone quality of this product is outstanding and clear. I even use it with my PS3, with no problems. My Laptop (Vaio)/PS3 (slim), both recognized the DSP-400 and started using it instantly. I would recommend this product for use with a laptop or the PS3.
