Customer Review: Excellent, simply excellent.
Summary: 5 Stars
When I received these headphones as a gift on Christmas morning 2006 I was excited. Initially I used them while at my computer for anything from games, to movies, to music, sometimes at the same time (Movie + Game, or Music + Game). Summer 2007 I got an office job which I was able to listen to music at, and so I brought them to work. That was 6 months after getting them, and now 3+ years later they're still working perfectly just like the day I opened them.
In my opinion it's hard to beat that kind of value. I've used these headphones 40 hours per week for over 2.5 years now, and on many weekends, and haven't had a single problem with them. For 6 months I was working 50 hour weeks (5x10 hour days) and they were never uncomfortable. (That says a lot since I have a large head, 7 3/4 inch, go ahead and try finding a hat to fit, let alone headphones).
To those that complain about the long cord... it says in the description that the cord is extremely long. These are marketed as TV headphones, why would you give a product a poor rating for doing what it is designed to do. Just plain ignorance in my opinion. I've kept my cord tied off ever since I opened the package and I've never had a problem. I let out approximately 3ft of cord for ease of use, and used wire twist ties to ensure the rest doesn't get tangled or in the way.
Sound quality on these, for the price, is second to none. Have I heard better phones? Sure, but not for 21.99 (or in my case, free for Christmas). As near as I can tell, this is the best circum-aural set you can find for under 50 dollars. I've recommended them more than once to friends and co-workers and they agree. I'm about to order another set for at home, since this one rarely leaves work anymore.
If you're on the fence about these headphones, I hope you read this review and take it to heart. If you're leaning no, I hope I put you back on the fence or even helped you to click that buy button. This is the best value in headphones anywhere and I'll be willing to debate anyone who says otherwise.
